Happy Saturday night Sunday morning from the hive!I'd started to write this last night but failed miserably as I couldn't think what to write.Since last diary update we are now in December, the Christmas tree has lights and is fully decorated.... hurrah! Last night was Christmas wrapping time, most gifts are bought for the kids having used the something to wear, something to read... etc principles. Haven't spent as much as I would have liked to have done but this will be fine. Still have some gifts to get for my partner and wider relatives. Just token gifts, money is tight etc and making use of cashback sites, using rewards etc.Yesterday we had a lovely day in a town local to us. We had some lunch, a spot of shopping and we visited the local minster that was hosting its annual Christmas tree festival. It was festive lush, lots of decorated trees, twinkling lights, choir singing tunes.A group was making wreaths but this session was pre-booked in advance so sadly couldn't take part on the day.Today we need to do food shopping, get some exercise and I need to book some more travel & accomodation for this week. Am a bit behind on that sadly.Money wise - not much to say really, monthly debts have been paid and savings pots topped up a little bit. We had hoped to reach the outstanding mortgage debt of £99,999.00 by the end of the year but we are two months short on this so I think after we pay our Feb mortgage we will see this. On the positive I have been putting a small amount away each month through Sprive and sporadically bought gift cards & undertook surveys through the year. There is about £22 to add as an extra overpayment on 31st Dec!

Hello Monday Morning,I'm feeling the need for a re-set having unashamedly eating lots of Christmas chocolate yesterday whilst enjoying this year's Christmas novel and having a lazy day. This morning though I did as I usually do, felt really rubbish about it and so went out for a short C25K run and popped on a long overdue YT stretches video. I couldn't actually finish the video but feel a bit better for doing so.Its another day at work, I need to book a hotel for this week and pack for this weeks travels. This is the only expected spends for the day.2025 financial goals & challenges!
