Hello Sunny Sunday
Well I have been enjoying being more consistent with updating my diary! A symbol of a bit more calmness.Hurrah! This weekend its just myself, OH and kitty and an opportunity to get a bit more organised. We had a really unplanned fun day yesterday. We heard rumours of something unexpected going on the beach that happened to be nothing by the time we got there unfortunately. The tide was in and nothing but a few people walking around doing their thing. We did though use the opportunity of a lovely day to go on a long, unplanned walk on the beach!Walking back we'd walked up an appetite and popped into one of our fav cafes. OH had a bacon sandwich and I just had a cuppa! Pit stop over we needed to get a photo printed at another part of town, this took a bit longer than expected but photo and frame sorted! Enroute home we popped into the leisure centre as they were hosting an event related to the Heritage open days. Had a fabulous chat with the lady running this particular event and left with some leaflets and a new contact. We did, something we do not normally do. We went into a second cafe as I was getting hungry and OH needed a bit of a rest & recharge. We both enjoyed an oaty sticky toffee cake and it was absolutely perfect for this time of the year! This was my not so healthy lunch
We then went home, dropped the photo & frame off just in time to join a local history talk all about local heritage. Aagain related to the Heritage open day weekend! Loved the talk, it was related to some volunteering am involved in. This is going to sound a bit bizarre but here goes! In a bit of a distraction move I took to cleaning the house late last night, was determined not to eat any crap last night after the cake lunch treat..! Well it worked and its been fabulous to wake up to a partially cleaned home! This morning I needed to book travel and accomodation for October trips. Its hard to not feel sad doing this, its a lot of money that could be better spent but this is where we are at the moment. I did start making some train bookings on Friday but then had a little hastle as booked a return journey on the wrong train, called the train company, tickets are cancelled but the refund will take time to process. The refunded amount is £90+ so will be eagle eyed watching this! This afternoon I need to go to the gym, top up food shop and a bit more work on the lego build.Have a good Sunday!2025 financial goals & challenges!

Oh my goodness its been two weeks since last diary update and its such as shame as I was in a really good period of updating it most days.Work has been off the scale, long days and nights, sat at work laptop. Its been chucked through the window many a times in my head this past two weeks. The major project which was very delayed is completing this coming week and tbh most people in the team have finished their bits but I haven't due to the tasks I've been looking after i'm still very much in treacle. Was logged on this morning at 4am (couldn't sleep) working away
Haven't been to the gym in ages and eating terribly. Really need to do a food detox, feeling yukky
Last week was a trip back to the city to see the kids and although I was sneaking in work whenever I could it was a lovely time. Am home this weekend but back on the rails on Weds. Luckily Friday and following Monday is holiday so there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.Money wise - yestreday was a pay day and i'm deliberately letting the money stay in my account till Sunday as its been such a slog I need to feel a bit better off for a few hours
My credit card debt is feeling like its not really making progress to reduce. I need to work out how much I need to overpay to get the balance less than it was a month ago. It might only be by a few £ but its something.Tomorrow is a work free day, myself and OH have booked tickets to The National Railway museum. Its my happy place tbh.2025 financial goals & challenges!

HI @beanielou, yes this the place in York. Thats pants regarding the mobility scooter. OH is well enough that we don't need any mobility aids but tbh we did have a wheelchair earlier in the year, more for fatigue. its heavy though a clunky, thankfully this can sit in the 'shed' for as long as possible. How's your weekend been?2025 financial goals & challenges!

Hey Monday Night! Finally paid my bills - really loved have a few quid in my account for a couple of days, but Weds is mortgage day so needs must an all that. The day trip to York was a much needed bit of 'medicine'. We enjoyed a meal at Wagamama. OH loves Wagamama and so its a bit of date treat now and again. The railway museum has a new entrance that felt like a very long walk... The main road is currently closed off so once it opens back up am sure it won't feel as long. We did get our steps in which can only be a good thing! The trains never disappoint & managed to pick up a couple of stocking fillers for the kids. This week works is returning to a bit more of a normal pace. My tasks are still focused on the project but are getting much closer to completion. Also spoke to boss about my weekend working
again a needs must but we've agreed the upcoming holiday this weekend will be time in lieu instead of annual leave so thats something! Tomorrow evening must finish my bit of packing for trip to the city. Its a relatively short one this time. Just two nights and only one day of work with Friday a day off. Bringing the kids back home to see the cat..! They love him and the kitty just loves the attention

Hello diary!Life in the hive is slowly catching up post a crazy work period! We've had some fun this week, with OH we had a first and went to a beginners line dancing class! It was hillarious, 2 left feet & lots of laughs around the room. The class started this week so everyone was starting at the same time rather than an established class which def helped! On thursday we couldn't be bothered to cook so enjoyed fish & chips for dinner! Well when you live by the coast, why not! This weekend the garden is getting a much needed de-weed & grass cut & a trip on the train to a local food market. Not much to say money / finances wise, still ticking over. Overall debt has been coming down but credit cards are a battle. The high costs of trips to the city is challenging. With being busy I haven't been able to do much on the surveys and extra income front and so I would really like to catch up. My goal was £25 per month towards reno and refurb account to go towards furture house renovations. Last month I had a good survey paying survey and added £15 to the pot but now in October the goal is back upto £25 so going to get back on to it this weekend.2025 financial goals & challenges!
