DCB Legal - Letter of Claim - Disabled Driver

  • Yes.

You need to complain mainly to the managing agents though and tell them you are disabled and how stressful this is.  DO NOT talk about both tickets to the managing agents, don't even mention there are two being pursued.  Beg them to step in.

Focus on each complaint separately and do it by phone this afternoon, why not?  Cry down the phone if need be.  They'll have cancelled it by tomorrow...at least one will, hopefully both.

TO BE CLEAR - I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO PHONE THE PARKING FIRM OR DEBT CRAWLER!
A reminder of CM's advice earlier.
  • Thank you,, KeithP. I think you have save me there! That UK parking does not answer the phone. I think I have my wires crossed somewhere.

    Just to confirm that I;

    1. Send SAR plus bluebadge to UK Parking
    2. Continue to call the management of the companies where the tickets were given.

Thank you KeithP from stopping me from doing a mistake. I think its time I need to log off as treatment and whatnot. I'll start again tomorrow.

    Thank you all.

    Which parking firm?

You just email a SAR to the PPC, no forms are involved.   See NEWBIES thread.

I would also just send a copy if your Blue Badge to DCBLegal and say both charges are disputed, and that you are seeking debt advice.
    As above.

Please re-read and double check the advice you are being given.

Like I said, you send a pic of the Blue Badge to DCBLegal.

No-one told you to phone or send a pic of the Blue Badge to UKPC.

I'm a bit concerned that you are treating two parking events at two different places as one.

From the parking webpage on Crown Point Shopping centre's website it is UK Parking Control Ltd that 'manage' their car park.

    At
St James Retail Park in Knaresborough it looks like HX Car Park Management Ltd are in charge of parking and according to a local newspaper have been in charge since around January 2020.

Can't be two different parking firms though, because the OP says they have one LBC (I think) citing both PCNs.

Yes, further checking shows that before HX became involved, UKPC were 'managing' parking at the Knaresborough site in 2019 - the time of the OP's parking event.

As I thought  -  UKPC thrown off another site.
  • Good Morning everyone.

To clarify, Coupon-Mad is correct; I have received one letter DCB Legal has sent me ONE Letter of claim for both tickets from St James Retail Park, Knaresborough and for Crown Point Shopping centre, Leeds. They are listed on the reverse of the document in the PCN Schedule.

I will type out 2 SARs which I will send one to UK Parking Control Ltd (Crown Point shopping centre) and a second one to HX Car Park Management Ltd  (St James Retail Park).(Thank you aga,in KeithP) using the template on the newbies page.

I will call both managment companies as Coupon-Mad mentioned.

Also I will send a copy of my disability badge to DCB Legal.

Will this text do tosend to DCB Legal with my disability badge -  I am disputing the letter of claim No xxxxx in regards to your parking client  xxxxxxxx . I am disputing both claims and that I am seeking debt advice. Please find attatched a copy of my disability parking badge.

I have to go out for a few hours and will be back at lunch. I have appointments.

    Thank you all

Yes that'll do for DCBLegsl for now.

But you are not sending a SAR to HX Parking!  They are nothing to do with your case!
