I haven't seen the court asking the claimant to pay trial fee before. Is that new?
    No that's normal.
I noticed the same aswell and they decided to discontinue before the submission of N180. They were waiting all this time for me to pay up.
I was thinking that too. You could email the local court and ask when they received the NoD because (if it was early on and DCB have since been asking you to settle the claim) you'd have enough evidence to report them to the SRA.

And you could use it as evidence for the Government's final Consultation, due soon.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So she signed off a NoD before she left the company, knowing all along that they would drop it.  This needs stopping.

The DLUHC are aware; they have been shown the discontinuances thread.
