Has anybody been on Flux moved to another tariff for the winter, then back to Flux?

Was it straightforward switch back to Flux or did they want all the paperwork again?
Did the sums after running Flux through the winter months and as I was only £15 worse off compared to moving to flat rate I decided it just wasn't worth the effort of switching and certainly not worth the risk of delays / problems returning to Flux. The whole year, on Flux, reduced my energy bill to ~ £40 all in.

When I asked to switch, I was told that they would need me to reapply for the tariff followed by a ~2 week wait. Given how lucrative the tariff has been for me, I decided that the £30-40 odd I would have saved during the winter months wasn't worth the risk of losing access to the tariff, and abandoned the desire to switch.

Given that Flux incoming/ outgoing ratio was made more favourable for import, I see less reason to risk it this year.
    Couldn't agree more.

It was the switching back that worries me. I thought Agile might be the better option through the winter (I have 29kWh of batteries and 8kW inverter charger).

Currently installing another 6.8kWp of panels, which will boost my winter generation.

December predicted as 240kWh (was 130) and January 346 kWh (was 223) in total.

I am on Intelligent Flux and am currently expecting to switch to something else for the winter. I will review nearer the time as to whether it will be worth it

I switched from Flux to Octopus Go last year for winter, I vaguely remember having to provide one of the docs again when switching back to Flux this year before the summer... I have all my docs saved in my emails so wasn't really an issue for me but still somewhat annoying considering they already had it.

I think it was the year before that where I was trying to switch from another combined import/export tariff (was similar to flux but can't remember the name) to Octopus Go + the standard export tariff, again for winter, I did the switch online but it was taking ages for the switch to occur so had to call them in the end and they took 30-40 minutes on the phone to switch me over from the combined tariff to Octopus Go and the standard export tariff, I don't remember having this sort of issue last year though.

Has anyone had anything like this or know what's going on? My previous Octopus bills were pretty straighforward, but this one has a whole lot of reversed charges and credits going back to last year. I don't really understand as I have a smart meter so I can't see how they weren't right at the time.

They did this to my daughter just as she was trying to move out of her shared uni house. It was a complete mess. We did get it sorted eventually with lots of chasing Octopus - generally they respond quicker on X than to an email.

Back in mid September, I run the numbers, and Octopus GO came out much better over the course of the year, so I've switched and won't be switching back to Flux, they've crippled it so much with recent price changes.

Go is actually much easier to manage. I think I'll actually be better off on go, as now I discharge the battery down to 15% SOC between 19:30 and midnight, then charging starts at 00:30. Previously I'd run it down to 45% SOC at 19:00.

I did the switch online, but then it wanted me to upload copies of the MCS cert and go through all that again to switch export tariffs, so I got on Twitter and they swapped me over, very easy that way, no messing about.
