Flux with no battery too. Our dishwasher, and sometimes the washing machine go on during our overnight cheap rate. As we're semi retired we cook when possible just after noon which during peak rate minimises import and maximises export. I'm 5 days off a full year on Flux and my energy bill for the year stands at -£88!

That’s pretty amazing! How much gas do you use? Our bill has been £416 for the last 12 months including gas and that’s on a 4.7KW system. Our gas alone cost £448, so our leccy was basically -£32, and that’s also with 1000KW onto our EV, all done while waiting for those agile windy days- I’ve only used solar to charge my car once.

This years export definitely hasn’t been as good as last year’s so far!

9156 kWhrs gas. The last 12 months solar generation has been atrocious at 2.4% lower than the lowest of my 8 Jan - Dec years, and 6.2% lower than the average of my 8 Jan - Dec years. So with the FiT increasing next April again and the prospect of a year closer to my average generation, going forward I should be net positive and chipping away at the water bill too. The last two days have been better with ~65 kWhrs exported, 9 during peak rate. I have a split array, 4kWs due east and 3.12 kWs due west.

Agree, I’ve only had solar for 14 months but we have never got close to May/June last year! Assume you use an eddi type thing, which makes sense with FIT payments? I guess it’s been a double whammy this year of worse flux rates and lower generation. But at least import is a bit cheaper

I switched my Immersun (solar divert to immersion heater) off exactly 12 months ago as getting paid for export at 15p / 25p per kWhr makes more sense than saving on gas at 6.1p. Flux has been good over the year with metered export exceeding what I would have been paid via deemed by £655.50
Flux however can suffer slightly if the rate drops during the summer and rises again during the winter. Of course the standing charge rising to 90p a day doesn't help either.

Finished the sums for the year earlier and metered export, via Flux, has reduced my annual energy bill to £54. If the last 12 months had not been my worst generation in 8.5 years since my panels were installed I would have been net £0 and probably in credit.

May '24 had 23.5% of total exported during the lucrative Flux window (was 19.5% in April), leading to a ~18p per kWh blended export rate. Hoping to hit 25% in June. No battery - PV only system.

    -  10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
    -  Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
    -  Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)

Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!

That's very good! I managed 12.6% however my ratio of income (rather than kWhrs) was 19.3% to 80.7%, with my annual income figure running at 20:80

Would have looked even better last year! I’m sure last year we had weeks of no clouds at all. We have had a handful of days like that this year

    Forgive my ignorance here :)
We have solar pv (3.9Kw) and are still on the same tarriff we were switched to when our last fixed rate deel ended during Covid. (Flexible Tarriff)?

So when switching to say the Octopus Flux tarriff, do you lose your FIT deemed export??
