New Octopus tariff for solar and battery users - Octopus Flux

First full month bill on Octopus flux, it's been a miserable month for sunshine but we've ended up getting a net refund of £5 (including gas) so I'm pleased.

Anyone considering Agile instead of Flux?
They were paying customers to import this morning...

I've just tried changing to go instead of flux, cheap overnight and guaranteed pricing, i dont like the variance of agile.
But octopus just cancelled my application cos I'm on flux export... well change that then0 -
Go isn't an option for me - no EV.
Maybe Eco 7.

In reply to some posts that suggest Flux isn't really a suitable tariff for the darker or winter months.
I can see where you're coming from, but personally easily survived last winter just on the standard variable rate prior to Flux existing in February, with solar & battery storage, using the standard Flexible Octopus rate to sometimes part recharge the batteries.
It definitely all boils down to someone's personal circumstances - this winter with even just the possible 3hr cheap rate charging window available, it's a far more favourable position to be in, whether it's the most optimal tariff is a different discussion.
..... just saying, it's not the end of the world.1 -
