So, it is probably unfair to criticise EDF as you have. (there are plenty of other areas where valid criticism can be made!)

Anyone had the refund from Octopus yet?
We're on oil for heating and our postcode appears on the list that will get this, but haven't seen or heard anything from Octopus about this. As of today, it had not been paid0 -

Were you with Octopus on the 1st Feb? If not, it'll be from your old supplier if you do automatically qualify.
If it's deemed that electric is the predominant form of heating in your local area then you won't get it automatically and will have to apply. The suppliers just pay according to the list they're given. You could ask Octopus to double check (if you were with them on the 1st Feb).0 -

The government guidelines quote the xoserve list of postcodes of those without a mains gas supply, of which my postcode is on it, but Octopus are telling me basically that I won't recieve this automatically. Pain in the !!!!!! to have to apply when it looks like I should actually have got this0 -

I have had to chase EDF & have a 40 minute discussion with them.
They would not automatically release my AFP & wanted to keep it.
Have raised a formal complaint.0
