My electricity supplier is Outfox the Market, has anyone received their £200 payment from them yet please.
  • Update re EDF . Been unable to contact EDF. No motivation from EDF , but today £200 appeared in my bank account as a credit from EDF so must be the AFP.  .hope you all get yours
  • I can also confirm my AFP from EDF has gone into my bank account today. Good luck to everybody else, hope you all get yours sorted.

EDF started crediting the electric account on the 20th Feb and then immediately sent it to your bank (which arrived today). They also sent out emails confirming this on the 21st Feb.

So, it is probably unfair to criticise EDF as you have.  (there are plenty of other areas where valid criticism can be made!)

Anyone had the refund from Octopus yet?
We're on oil for heating and our postcode appears on the list that will get this, but haven't seen or heard anything from Octopus about this. As of today, it had not been paid

Yes, many reports of people having got it dated the 14th Feb (myself included).

Were you with Octopus on the 1st Feb?  If not, it'll be from your old supplier if you do automatically qualify.

If it's deemed that electric is the predominant form of heating in your local area then you won't get it automatically and will have to apply.  The suppliers just pay according to the list they're given.  You could ask Octopus to double check (if you were with them on the 1st Feb).

I've been with Octopus for 2 years, so no problems there. I'll ping them a message

So I've just had a twitter exchange with Octopus, and they are telling me they have no paid all customers who qualify automatically for the AFP.
The government guidelines quote the xoserve list of postcodes of those without a mains gas supply, of which my postcode is on it, but Octopus are telling me basically that I won't recieve this automatically. Pain in the !!!!!! to have to apply when it looks like I should actually have got this

There's a second part to automatically receiving it - you have to be in an area where the predominant form of heating is not electric.

Have to agree with Suzymmm .

I have had to chase EDF & have a 40 minute discussion with them.

They would not automatically release my AFP & wanted to keep it.

     Have raised a formal complaint.
