yup i'm boring, but (un)fortunately my sister and her hubby are in a similar position so we can bore each other, my OH feels it's great (at the moment) because he's learning so much from me and my mum thinks it's hilarious how 'mean' i can be.

At work they think i'm sad, well the person who could give me a run for my money in the debt front does (it's soooooo sad to sell vouchers you won't ever use! to quote but one comment), others just tune me out unless it's something they can benefit from.

I'm terrified of getting a girlfriend now because of how much it might cost me!

My last gf was quite receptive to my money rants being in much the same position as me, but what if the next one is a bubble headed gold-digger?! I've got nothing in my wallet...

There are books called 'The Tightwad Gazette', I have the first two (bought cheap on Amazon of course), Amy who wrote them gives advice on how to find a partner who has the same frugal outlook on life as you do. It is funny and well worth reading, and following the advice.

I can't imagine living with someone I couldn't trust about money. My old grandma used to say - 'When poverty comes through the door, love flies out of the window'. I reckon debt and being reckless with money is poverty.

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
