Valli said:Final chemo had. PICC line removed *ouch* (instruction to look away and breathe deeply ignored - I am interested and I wanted to watch - and I'm not a fainter). That was one long tube. Bell rung.
Now for the rest of forever with the beasties in submission and remission I hope xx

Valli so pleased the chemo is done. When DSs Picc line blocked I declined going with him while they "whipped it out and popped a new one in". I didnt even like looking at where it went in his arm.
Iona great to hear the gym can do that without you having to see the GP. Hope it's good news.
Paid stuff done. I am supposed to be only working tomorrow morning but not sure if I will manage that. Pilates done first thing, flying is minimal, kitchen floor needs attention.
DH is going to go on steroids for a few weeks to see if it will dampen down his immune system. Hope he doesnt have too many side effects.
A bit of a sit down is needed.

Well done, Valli!!! Wooty woot woot! xxWork has been worked - is it Friday yet?? Dinner cooked, rather tasty fish on a tomatoey orzo creation. I Made An Effort, especially as it’s only Wednesday. Mr M delivered today - 1 hour 40 minutes early was taking the mickey, imho. Luckily DH abandoned his work call to find the bags dumped on the doorstep. Not impressed. The last delivery looked like they had thrown it half way across the country. Time to abandon Mr M, possibly.Still trying to break the WAC habit. 1am is tedious.6

Bit of a dilemma…am wondering if I’ve done the right thing. Saw the vallikid’s other gran in the unit, don’t know what she was being given or why and I know that not all patients are in there for cancer treatment. Anyway I’ve decided to mention it to them, then they can decide whether or not to get in touch. It’s years since they saw her. They are adults now. But if the worst happens I don’t really want them to think I knew she was ill and I didn’t bother to tell them.Bin out ready for the morning. Vacuum filter rinsed, I have two so have swapped over.
thanks all. Wooty wooty woot woot indeedDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Congrats on finishing your chemo @Valli. Do you need to have more treatments, or is chemo your final one?
I didn’t manage to finish my bathroom today. By the time I got home from work I had run out of energy. I cleaned the bath, wash basin, and toilet. The floor was mopped and the towels were washed at weekend though, so it wasn’t a complete failure.
Well done everyone on your achievements today.6 -
Great news Valli.
Not much of a flying day:
- went for a run
- put on a load of washing
- went to uni and did an assessment. Finally managed to catch up with manager re a difficult assessment the week before last, for some reason my emails hadn't reached her. Now sorted, bits added to the report and it needs a final check tomorrow.
- Paperwork ready for tomorrow's student.
- did final check and sent off last week's student assessment.
- checked calendar for dates I'm available to work over Easter, crossed my name off for my big birthday and also the day we are going away for BIL's big birthday.
- Caught up with Chris Packham's programme on autism which may not be flying but is relevant to work.
- moved another couple of garments from temporary rail to new wardrobe.
- had long conversation with old school friend who sadly lost her sister this morning, expected soon but rather suddenly as it turned out.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
