Such good news Pigpen so happy for you. And CCL hope its good news for you too, hope the eldest is not too disappointed.
Met up with family today and went out for a really nice lunch. I have the day off tomorrow as somehow I will be 51 years old. No idea what the plan is, I may be on my own if DH has to go to work, but I will do something nice whatever. I need a break from the paid stuff, it feels like a bit of an endless hamster wheel at the moment.8 -
Well done, Mr Pigpen! Fingers crossed for your OH, CCL.
Early happy birthday wishes, YL, as my sieve brain will forget tomorrow x You deserve a day of doing something for yourself, you work so hard.
Dinner was prepped last night and in the sc all day, so apparently that means that DH “cooked”. Dw is now running. I’ve just switched on the wm, not happy that DH has filled it so that my jeans don’t fit in - yet again.
I’m so done with this week. Roll on 6pm tomorrow.7 -
Well done everyone for your achievements today. I made a good effort on my guest bedroom. I have thrown a lot of stuff away and got 4 big bags of Christmas stuff to put up into the loft this weekend. There is clean bedding on the bed, and the carpet has been hoovered.6

Many happy returns for tomorrow lovely lady YL xxx
Long long day. Got home from work, has a meltdown with the plumber here doing some work. He could tell I was on the edge as my bottom lip was wobbling.Car loaded for the tip, will head there before paid stuff in morning. List written for Home Bargains. And general life list written. Windscreen replacement booked for next week. Bank account checked, more bottom lip wobbles.
bed now, alarm set for 5am to get on with outside jobs before the worst of the wind hits. X7 -
Booked for soft play for tomorrow.. That place needs a bar! lol We will drop Pixies friend off afterwards.
CCL has your OH heard about his interview yet?
I spent some of tomorrows money and bought OH chinese food as a congrats on the new job thing..
I might need my nest.

Congratulations to your OH on his promotion, pigpen - very pleased for him and all of you xx
Hope you can get a good night's sleep despite the wind, asb x
A birthday is an excellent excuse to take a day off, YL! x
Today I have
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- hoovered through downstairs
- turned up the linings on two miniskirts belonging to my 9yo goddaughter and her younger sister, which didn't shrink as much as the skirts when K washed them: they look more like 9-inch pelmets now.
- sorted my sewing box (need to buy black thread, as I almost ran out earlier) and put things aside to pass on to the Crafting group
- ironed the pillowcases at last!
- went out to the forest for lunch and a slow walk with DH and Rosie
- came home and slept
- took my BP, which was sky high again
- re-heated up previously cooked stew for tea
- pottered on the computer and watched TV.
Now gearing up for DH to go away overnight tomorrow for his residential meeting. He has printed out over 100 pages for discussion - thank goodness he pays for his own printer ink!
Bedtime for me. G'night all xxx6 -

YL happy birthday, have a lovely day.
Well done to new jobs.
I'm not in the WAC but still doing a report, the tricky one I discussed with manager. Just needs a final check tomorrow later today.
- went to uni, did assessment
- had lunchbox and coffee with uni friend I don't see often as I'm usually scooting off to drum lesson; half term this week for drums.
- listened to a webinar.
- checked through today's assessment results and started report.
- plan was then to go to Pilates on the way home; encountered blue flashing lights and closed road en route so had to backtrack and could see I wasn't going to make it on time. Rang gym in case there was a waiting list and she couldn't find my name down - strange as my app says I'm booked as did the email reminder it sent me this morning.
- did some drumming practice
- printed off another student details for March.
- Emptied last few garments from borrowed clothes rail and messaged owner to see when I could drop it back to them (plus 'thank you' chocolates). Don't get too excited as I still have a large pile of clothes on the spare bed. Replacement wardrobe door (one was the wrong size) is meant to arrive tomorrow and they were meant to ring today and give us a time.....guess what!!!!
Hm none of that sounds terribly fly like...but at least a lot of it was work.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all.
Happy birthday YSL. Enjoy your day off.
Congrats to Piggers DH. Enjoy soft play!
ASB, I think you're amazing with what you achieve.
