16999. Under 17k a couple.of d debits paid early to do it but couldn't resist. Helped by some money I came into. Undecided whether debts was right or wrong thing to use it for but the debts need to be gone/more manageable. My debts in my name now 8655. Progress will be slow now but still aiming for sub 16 by year end. Sub 15k would be a dreamJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

So spendy week in a boring way. House insurance has gone up by 200 pounds. No reason, haven't claimed or anything. Went on comparison sites and rang a few places for quotes but all coming out similar. Cheaper by 30 if I went with a small company. Rang mine back they and wouldn't budge on price but gave me 45 in love to shop vouchers as an incentive to stay. Downside is I do not have that much set aside so it's monthly direct debit from now on. Although they did say I could ring and pay a lump sum when I get it together to pay it off early and save on the interest amount. I was shocked to be honest. Heard everyone's insurance is going up but thought that meant 50 quid not 200 😭
And have booked in our mortgage renewal. Can still change up to 14 days before but we have been given 4.14% fixed for 5 years. Very thankful that we didn't have to renew that last year. This is an increase for us but a just only just manageable one. If it lowers between now and then I'll be even happier 🤞
Extra 80 a month to find in my budget now just because the worlds going to pot.....ah well. Off to number crunch. Think from now until new mortgage I need to build up the e fund.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Long time no see. Although I have been lurking. Debts back over 17k, e fund obliterated, car has been in garage but needs to go back for a bit more work, all three kids birthdays and four close family members birthdays between now and Easter and I have not won the lottery (or bought a ticket 😂)
It's a blip. Ah well onwards and upwards. The bank account is still in the plus so I suppose that's something
