  • Have you seen the dental floss trick for removing a stuck ring? There’s a tutorial on YouTube for it. I’ve not tried it, I just saw it when I fell down a rabbit hole one time 😁
No I'll have to have a look. Thankyou..I've tried butter olive oil and washing up liquid so far. They did say they can tape it but I'm sure removing is better.

I discovered that if I put my hands in very cold water the fingers would thin and that would make removing a ring easier.

Congrats on the weight loss.  I second chilling your hand, as that might help them come off.  I've heard about the dental floss trick too, but never seen it.

Ouch to the shoes, I think little miss might need new ones too.

  • Thanks all the rings are off. A combination of all the above and a tiny and temporary dip in circulation to my finger I fear whilst I managed it.
    One problem solved 🙂

Found you and subscribed! Yep, just about everyone is shocked by the rising cost of...well, everything really.  You are grasping the nettle and are brave and together @NeverendingDMP.  Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx
  • Ah thankyou Humdinger1 honestly a few months back I could see that there budget had no spare but now I think it's catching up with everyone isn't it.
The positives are I'm fifty ish pounds in credit with gas and electric (major win at this stage!)
I still have 50 in asda rewards and my mortgage is still fixed (thank goodness)
The debts are slightly out of control but I won't loose sleep as I know it's not as bad as.it was years ago and I just need to plod on.

  • So the Feb challenge is to spend less than 356 in gas and electric as that's what octopus crystal ball thinks I will use and also to get to payday with the remaining 240 pounds in my groceries budget. 18 days till payday.  With the rewards I should manage it surely. Unless I blink and the cost of food goes up again
