RM Tracked 48 with signature (100 comp) cheaper than 2nd class recorded (50 comp) What am I missing?

Ebay postage seems to have a few issues this morning, it's obviously taking them a while to adjust to the new pricing. All my options , even large letters are showing error messages.

I have also just checked out the RM site and the RM24 and RM48 prices have definitely reverted back to their normal prices. I'm pleased I did my labels yesterday as I had forgotten that this offer was due to finish.

I shall definitely miss it , but will continue using RM48 for my items over £20 or so (mainly on my private account as on my business account I only get comp for the item cost, not sale price) but go back to standard parcels for cheaper items. 

I don't think most people will notice this change as many people still just buy at the PO and pay £3.35 for a standard parcel anyway- so I can still undercut their prices by buying online.

tracked is way better you got point to point delivery updates. signed for - shows nothing, could be 10 days of saying nothing and then it says it's being delivered after the fact. useless.

Not as cheap as it was though. Currently matched against the PO price for 2nd class of £3.35, not the Royal Mail price of £2.85. For items under £20 there isn't much reason to pay the extra 50p.

Does anyone know if Royal Mail offer compensation for delays with 24/48 Tracked please?

I had a parcel take 44 days to be delivered and was expecting the postage back, I'd actually put in a claim for loss after a month and they eventually replied to say this has been delivered case closed so I replied to point out I know but it was very late and they said sorry no refund due.

The current special offer is that Tracked is the same price as the regular offline price for standard service. So Tracked48 booked with Royal Mail is the same price as second class bought offline at the Post Office.

Apparently for non-account postage its still a special offer price until the 2ndApril, so maybe it is different for those with and without an account?

I don't use my RM business account anymore as it is far more expensive than just a normal account with RM. I just have a log in for RM using click and drop as it keeps details of any post I buy. I only use it for non ebay stuff though as I find ebay postage easier and is the same price.
