Loads of emails for DCBLegal here - they take the first name.

There's an Amy whatsHername and Paul whatd'youMcCallhim so if you search the form for that first name and DCBLegal you will find them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

In their Data Protection and Privacy Notice, item 16 it says:

    16) How to Contact Us
DCB Legal’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) is the main contact for anyone who wants to discuss matters covered under this policy or the law, including any person whose personal data we have come into contact with and used or stored, whether for our own purposes or on behalf of another company
    Email – dpocontact@dcblegal.co.uk

Use that to see if they acknowledge receipt of your email to "info".

Also, check your "sent" mailbox and look for the email you sent them. In the headers, there should be something like this:

    MIME-Version: 1.0
    Date: Fri, 17 Feb 2023 16:57:56 -0600
    Message-ID: <CAOYkGnJu=sdEdZ314XZ=d6PaGmxj5k_n14LFWUB5Gg=FMBE64A@mail.gmail.com>
Subject: Testing validity of "info" mailbox at dcblegal.co.uk
    From: XXXX XXXX <XXXX@XXXX.com>
    To: dcblegal.XXXX.14b5c8246b.info#dcblegal.co.uk@ob.0sg.net
    Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="0000000000008037c205f4ed3e23"
    --0000000000008037c205f4ed3e23
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"
This is a test. No need to respond.
    --0000000000008037c205f4ed3e23
    Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    <div dir=3D"ltr">This is a test. No need to respond.=C2=A0</div>
    --0000000000008037c205f4ed3e23--

The "Date" bit is your proof of sending (only as long as you did not receive a bounce back).

Edited to add: I just received an auto response from info@dcblegal.co.uk acknowledging receipt of the email I just sent them. Did you get an auto-acknowledgement email back?

So, I have checked the headers of the mail I sent to the 'info' email address.
And I see similar results to you. Gmail also reports it as delivered after 0 seconds.
I did not get a bounce back stating it as being undelivered / undeliverable
However, I did not receive an auto response email.

On the topic of a SAR, I understand now.
Apologies, I misinterpreted what you were suggesting.
It has got me thinking though...
I sent an SAR to UKPC....there response did not include any emails.
Even though I absolutely have emailed them, albeit in 2019.
Again, headers appear to confirm it has been delivered.
Is this something I should use to my advantage?
    Worth reporting to the ICO?

Ask UKPC to find your emails sent from your email address.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Ask UKPC to find your emails sent from your email address.
Would you advise making that request as a response to their SAR reply?
    Or a separate mail thread?

I'd do the request in response to their SAR reply. Keeps things in context.

    Just IMHO.

ETA  Apologies CM cross posted with you.

    Great thanks
I'll reply to UKPC SAR response
Edit: should I 'threaten ' UKPC with a report to the ICO?

I have just had a mail from DCB.
Asking for the first line of my address and postcode for "data protection"
And apparently "failure to respond to this email with the required information may result in the matter progressing further."

    Should I give them this?

My email reply to their LoC.
Denying the alleged debt, and asking for evidence etc.
I think the draft I wrote is further up this thread
