Morning all,
Amount of flying went from nearly nothing to absolutely zero as the week went on. Stress at work (and time in the WAC) went from high to supersonic at the same time. Is that what a cleverer person then me would call correlation? Maths was never my strong point…
So here we are back at Saturday, and I am planning my weekend around the flying basics again. When I can get my backside into gear, of course. My poor car is looking forlorn on the drive with only 3 functioning tyres, so I’m going nowhere soon in it.
We had a lovely meal out last night for a friend’s birthday, so it’s a sluggish start to the morning. Wm is on - I loaded it on Wednesday, just got around to turning it on. I’m going to start by getting dressed, then maybe ease myself into the day by tackling Mount Ironmore. Some good old procrastination first though - anyone joining me for cuppa 😉?
Have a good day all, I will be back to bore you later x8 -
Fayolle ~ you won't bore me later on, as I love reading what everyone has been up to.Daily stuff is done5 cats fed, only can find 4 of them, I am sure the 5th one is around somewhere as his bowls were empty this morning, this one is NND's.Fire is done, log are inKitchen done, with OH away (I miss him) it seems to take half the time to do daily type stuff.Had 2 emails telling me deliveries will be here between 7.30am to 12 noon...............I'm going out about 9.40am to look at some Norfolk Pamments, so they will either have to leave the deliveries on the door step or come back another day.Currently there is a deer wandering around the back field I can see, plus a buzzard hunting, ie doing low swoops over the field as well.It feels a bit warmer today, but is overcast as well.Breast Cancer Now 2022 100 miles October 100 / 100milesSun, Sea9

Hallooooo xx
Fingers crossed that Eeyore has left the building. And that Tigger settles down into a happily plodding Pooh or perky Piglet. I like Tigger but it's only sustainable in small bursts. Bounce. Bounce. Ooo maybe I could try out being Wol. Not Rabbit - too tetchy, or Kanga - too good. And if I'm gonna bounce I may as well be Tigger than Roo. My counsellor says I wasn't put on this earth to be small. So defo not Roo. That's sorted then.
Yes. I'm weird. Not nuts.DS's dad once reassured me that I'm not nuts, just 'a tad eccentric '. Make me wonder how big a tad is? Pretty big methinks 🤔
Anyhoo. Flying! Ah. Well. Hmmm. Yes. Not done any yet today. Unless I count making the bed. And bringing down the laundry hamper. So I'll count them then.
Toast and marmalade and a brew have been dispatched.
Plan:
Get dressed
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
Feed the birds
Put out rubbish and recycling
That's my started for 10.
Have a good day ❤

Argh my new washer keeps throwing a tantrum. I think it doesn’t like when I mix clothes with bedding/towels/blankets so I’ll have to change my washing routines so they not mixed….grr8

Nice to hear you are feeling something like normal Valli and Round I love that comment from the counsellor, keep bouncing gently, we dont want any accidents x
As Fayolle says we made it to Saturday. Not been the best of weeks but it's done. I got finished at the paid stuff early yesterday and drove up into the forest and did a 5k, found it hard going and had to walk a bit but thats OK. Will get the bike out at some point over the weekend. I need to fly today and DH wants to do some gardening (hope he doesnt expect me to help!)
Oh and was it Kaz that asked about tiles? We had quarry tiles when we moved in, the red ones. I liked them to begin with but got bored with them over the years and we eventually covered them with something much more neutral. They made it hard to plan a colour scheme that didnt match the tiles.
Right, need to get out of my Pjs and on with the day.8 -

I filled my day yesterday and was pretty shattered by bedtime. This morning's Zoom meeting has been cancelled, so I have a little list:
- eat breakfast
- S&S kitchen
- 5 minute pick-up downstairs
- FUPA clean bedding
- shower and dress (I am clearly a slob, but not as bad as DH)
- WMx? (depending on what DH gives me)
- phone a friend - I've already tried her number every day this week
- write 2 birthday cards
- write a real letter
- play with the ancestors
- find something for lunch
- play with the ancestors again
- walk Rosie and deliver Monday's birthday card en route
- roast chicken for tea
Fayolle, please don't keep beating yourself up - you work very hard! Glad you had a lovely meal with your friends. We all need the odd treat so that the memory of it will brighten the mundaneness of the majority of our time.
Hope everyone has a restful weekend. Don't worry about having to be productive - if it is going to happen, it will xxx8 -

I now do all my washing at 20 degrees on the fastest setting (but with an extra rinse and the highest spin speed, which only increases the time from 15 to 20 minutes) and it comes out perfectly clean.9 -
Thank you, Iona 😘. I do a good line in self flagellation, and I need to learn to stop it before I bore myself silly.
DH offered to vacuum clean 😱. After I had picked myself up, I had to resolve not to point out that he was doing it “wrong” (the correct way is my way, obviously…). I dusted everywhere whilst he was taking time to prepare himself to fulfil his rash offer. I cleaned the bathroom and ensuite, then relieved him of vacuum duties to do upstairs myself. I have left his office for him to tackle. That is way above my pay grade!Wm is done, airing cupboard sorted. I’m having a quick cuppa now, then I might even mop the kitchen floor. Not sure which bit of the utility room floor DH has swept, but it certainly wasn’t the bit I can see - and it is a tiny room!
I’ve just had a ”love it, where did you buy it” text from a friend, to whom I had sent a hm card creation. Made my morning!8
