Bidded - Rant

Rant On

Please can people not use "bidded", I know my English and spelling isn't the best but for some reason that word just drives me nuts.

Rant Off

Thanks

I have to agree but my grammar, spelling and typos mean I feel I have to bite my tongue on many occasions.

Some of the emails I receive from buyers are barely legible and masters on cryptography is sometimes required.

I bid, I have bid, he has bid, they have bid, we have bid..etc

  • I guess some people just don't know it's not a genuine word, and mistakenly use it.
I get annoyed by the brought/bought, where people just get it wrong.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

It annoys me as well. I can read all caps, and I can read text speak to some extent, but what I really really struggle with is a member here that types like its a poem.

    The text is like this
then she moves to the next line
    And then the next
I wondered if it was how MSE displayed
On her computer but I didnt
    Like to ask.
Either way I cant read it!!!

Not having a dig if you are reading this btw :D

That tends to happen when people write their replies in notepad/wordpad and then Copy and paste into the reply box.

It makes me start reading in rhyme and then when it doesn't rhyme my brain explodes and then I have to clean it up and start again... And yes I know it doesn't have to rhyme to be poetry etc etc :p
:D**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

"try and" instead of "try to" - it's the small things that annoy me because they are easily avoidable, but it's clear to see the difference between misuse and mis-typing.
