Sorry about the poorly pup and Nan. My dog was seriously ill a few years ago and we were so relieved when the insurance covered it as it went far beyond £10,000.2

I had a pedicure last week and I had reflexology before it. I haven't had that treatment done in a long time and I slept very soundly for a few nights after it.
It is so much nicer now the weather is warmer. It was stressing me out when it was cold just because I really feel it with my thyroid issue and also worrying about the cost of switching on the heating.
I went for a checkup at the dentist yesterday and booked the hygienist for next month. I also booked my cats in for their vaccinations next week and booked a free hearing test for me as I received a voucher in the post.
I just went to a charity shop and bought two new blue tops and a wicker basket. I find baskets so helpful for storage and it was only £4.
I have been binge watching Gilmore Girls for the past month (8 seasons long!) and I only have three episodes left. I am about to pour a glass of wine and finish it off. I had a salad for lunch and then half a big bar of chocolate! Very balanced diet, lol. The chocolate was Montezuma and I just bought that in the charity shop too for 50p.🥰2025 GOALS

Feeling quite chuffed with myself I needed a new spade and Wilkos were giving a 10% off deal if you bought it online and did click and collect, so an extra 90p in my pocket instead of theirs I only needed a light one so my DGS can use it when he visits to do the boarder edges for me and shift some earth.
So I didn't need to buy a big one and they had a reasonable one for £9.00. I had to fiddle around until I managed to get the code put in ,but I was feeling really pleased with myself as I'm not very techy and usually leave it to one of my DGS or DDs to do things online
I only live about less than five minutes walk from the precinct where Wilkos is so it was easy enough to walk over there and pick it up. So win-win for me and a new spade for £8.10p

So sorry about your troubles @failingminimalist, hope your Nan is improving and your pain is better.
Glad the dog is ok. I thought long and hard about getting another one, but no was the right answer for me now. I have friends with dogs, so I still get cuddles.I’ve been so busy with work, usually having different jobs makes for a very balanced life but when they’re all busy at once it’s a bit hectic.Watched the Coronation with family - Great Britain PLC at its best.Got half the border weeded on Monday, and will try some more later. Pacing myself as so easy to keep going to get it done and then be crocked afterwards. Put some algae killer on the drive today while car away for a slow puncture to be fixed. Didn’t have quite enough stuff but hopefully it’ll check the worst, and it’ll last til the autumn as the summer sun usually halts its advance from now til October.Found some good items on Vinted to boost the wardrobe, including work polo shirts for £1 each.6 -
I went back to the charity shop today to drop off a donation bag and the woman offered me a box of 12 chocolate bars for £5 which I snapped up.They usually sell individually for £2-£3. I found a paperback I wanted for £1 too. I do love a bargain.2025 GOALS

Wellness Wednesday.Well hello everyone. Sorry I have been MIA. TBH it has not been the best of weeks....fibro, dental pain. Eventually I gave up and went back to the dentist because I could feel something sharp and jagged. It was a sliver of bone which had worked loose and wasn't healing over. It had to be removed. I have never felt pain like it. 😱, even though she did give me loads of anaesthetic. Still a bit tender but hopefully it should now heal. She has given me antibiotics just in case but I'm trying to do without.Anyway enough of all that. Needless to say I haven't felt much like exercise and my healthy eating has been a bit hit and miss. So seeing as today is Wellness Wednesday it is time to try and get back on track. Up the self care, lose some weight. I did manage to get my hair cut, it's a start.Am not having much luck with shopping for my summer wardrobe. Managed to pick up a few tops, can't say I'm very enamoured with them but they will have to do for now.Luckily they were mainly charity shop or supermarket buys so I didn't pay much but even so I really begrudge spending money on clothes that I don't even like that much. 😏. Maybe I need to start sewing again.... Actually I do have some nice clothes, it's just that I can't fit into them at the moment. So frustrating but it's my own fault for not getting serious about losing weight before now. Hey ho.Hope everyone is well and happy. Lovely to finally have some nice warm sunshine, 😎.Wednesday ....l am like you I don't like it too hot but I agree it's lovely to have the long summer days and light evenings. My back garden faces south west, so it's lovely to sit out on a warm evening. I've never seen Gilmore Girls. I have just finished watching Downton Abbey (again.....lol). I have actually found some really good you tube stuff, mainly fashion and history.Failing Minimalist. Sorry to hear you are struggling with your Fibro. Flare ups can be rough. Hope your Nan and dog are ok now. The stress worrying about them won't have helped your fibro. Hope you are feeling a bit better.Artistlifestyle. You are absolutely right about how we sometimes forget to pace ourselves and then end up overdoing things. It's easy to get carried away in the moment, exhaust yourself and then have to pay for it afterwards. It's not even very productive because in the long run you lose time by having to rest and recover. I have to keep reminding myself.......Slow but sure wins the race and all that.London 1. well hello Jackie O. How lovely that you've joined us. Great bargain there from Wilko. I am always so impressed with your money management skills. You are an inspiration.Quick update on chiro .......had my final adjustment (for the time being).Scans show an 80 % improvement overall. Hips, pelvis, shoulders, ribs all now in the right place. Just some slight forward head tilt. I have some exercises for that. Apparently, the issues with my neck and shoulder are not just the result of my injuries sustained over the years, but they have been exacerbated by poor posture........hunching over computers, laptops, iPads, mobiles has made matters worse. So something to think about and address........less screen time and make sure I do the exercises. It looks like another nice day, hoping to potter about in the garden, do some weeding and repotting. I have an issue with algae on the drive at the side of the house, too. Treated the worst with bicarbonate of soda, looks better but because the area is in more or less constant shade it could probably do with another treatment soon. A woman's work is never done. Lol.Have a great day y'all.❤️5

OMG, that sounds like agony with your mouth! Poor thing.
I have a nice few days planned. Our friend is coming to take the tiles off in the bathroom tomorrow as we are having panelling put in instead so we will go out somewhere, maybe to Hadleigh castle and to a cafe, while he is here. Friday we have the cats appointment at the vet and then we are going to the cinema to see the Fast & Furious film and then my brother and his girlfriend are staying over at our house overnight. The four of us are going to see Dara O Briain. The Saturday we are heading into London and meeting the couple we know at a bar. Quite busy again!
I still haven't got the x-ray results back so I might chase that up later. It has been two weeks now and I would like to know if I have arthritis or not. I know there has been some delay with the coronation. That reminds that I texted my friend and she was invited to the garden party at Buckingham Palace!
I am going for a hearing test today as I received a free voucher in the post. I haven't had one since about 2016 when I had it done at the hospital so I thought I would just get it done. It is about 40 minutes walk there, but I will do it there and back rather than get the bus to get some steps in. I will probably wear trainers although it does look quite warm so maybe I could wear sandals.

Fab to see you again @helensbiggestfan and so glad that you're on the mend. I hear that our back troubles began when we started walking on 2 legs rather than 4! It's a long walk back, no? Love Humdinger xx1

Magic Monday.Yes, it's fascinating stuff isn't it. Apparently, we weren't designed to walk on our "hind legs" and back pain is the price we pay. 😂. Actually since my chiro treatments and getting everything realigned my lower back pain is much better. Still some shoulder issues but I am aiming to get some physio for that. One step at a time.......I said at the outset that it would probably take me at least a year to address all of my outstanding health niggles. The dental work alone will be between 12-18 months. In the end I had to give in and take antibiotics. Hate taking them because they always upset my digestive system. So this time I took a stomach protector and it hasn't been quite so bad, just low key nausea. Have to eat loads of carbs to keep on top of it, so unfortunately I haven't been able to start my weight loss programme. Never mind, I'll get started on that soon. Thankfully today is the final day of anti-b's.Tomorrow my son and his family come to stay with me again for a few days whilst they have some more work done to their house so I will be a bit too busy to embark on Stage 2 of my "Wellness Journey". So a break from any kind of treatments this week, hopefully get back on track next week. It wont do any harm to have a little rest from it all, especially if the weather holds and I can take time out to enjoy the lovely sunshine.Anyway......it's Magic Monday. A new week beckons. All bright and shiny. It will be lovely to have my family here and to spend lots of time with my grandchildren. They usually sneak into my bed in the morning for stories and cuddles. Lovely. They are growing up quickly but they still have that gorgeous "baby smell". The nicest smell in the world. Whoever finds a way of capturing or duplicating that smell and bottling it would make an absolute fortune.😂🤣.Just off to Lidl ........might pop into the chazzer.
Have a magical day.5
