I think cutting the tea out would have multiple benefits for me foxholes.... one of them being nof having the couple of biscuits I dunk every time I have one- that's not helping the weight gain 🤣
Hope you manage to relax toni's friend, I am glad you have people around you to help encourage you to take the time you need.
I am grateful for
1. a delicious dinner (if I say so myself 😋) tortilla pockets with mince, fried peppers, tomatoes and onion. Thoroughly enjoyed that and made a welcome break from the spaghetti bolognese which is our normal Thursday meal.
2. My dc who have been really sweet to each other this evening (I can't imagine it will last long) Eldest dd is having issues with friends at school and she was greeted by big hugs from her brother (nearly 2yo) and sister (4 yo and not a hugger unless it is a mummy hug). Which nearly knocked her off her feet but gave her a lovely smile that lasted the whole way home.
3. Us having a car dh can use for getting to work (officially my car) because his van had packed up and there is a 3 week wait until the garage can get his new (to him) van ready. We really couldn't do without 3 weeks money if he couldn't work.
Hope you all have a lovely evening.2024 decluttering Campaign

R - Refuel - Didn’t sleep well last night, going to bed early tonight. Mince was 4 days past use by, didn’t risk it so bought fresh & made lasagne. Glad I did instead of a ‘something from the freezer’ tea, we all enjoyed it. Drank lots of water but also ate too much rubbish.
Y - You - self care - Got up 10 mins early than usual to avoid the rush out the door. Set me up better for the day.

What a nice gesture @Toni'sfriend.
Definitely need to drink less coffee and tea then as it seemed to make my tiredness worse. Got plenty of green and fruit tea in the house.
Went for a lovely long walk with the kids to the river today. Typical situation of not wanting to go out and then not wanting to go home, lol. Was like spring but blustery.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2510 -
Today is a lovely day, 15 years ago, I met my DS3 face to face for the very first time. We had a takeaway supper (we only really ever have a takeaway for the kids birthdays - they LOVE it -) and DH made cannoli because DS3 did not want a birthday cake this year, and requested them instead. I sent DS1 off to pick up the takeaway as he has a student card and they get 15% off on a Thursday
£46 for 6 people including drinks. Not too shoddy.
Gratitudes:Making £10 on p/a before 9.30am - every little helps! - shunted to savingsThe snowdrops looking all elegant in the parkBeing able to help a couple of people out today - all I did was listen to what they were saying - then sorted what was wrong, it took seconds, but meant a lot to them.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening all. Happy Birthday, f0xh0les SD3, well done grandmanerd on getting a plan together for the bricks.
NSD#1/15
_Gratitudes: also snowdrops, Pret coffee subscription (and the number of steps to get the coffee) lovely call with DD.
I have the Pret coffee subscription - it's £25 a month, you get 5 hot drinks a day works out at 17p a cup if it's totally optimised. I am motivated to get out of the flat and get the coffee, or their green tea which is delish or earl grey. Each time it's at least 2,700 steps, from home and back anyway. DD reckoned it might cost 17p to put the kettle on! I am gonna beat the Cost of Living crisis, one hot drink at a time, and build my physical stamina at the same time. Win.

Can I please ask for your thoughts.
Although it is not very MSE I am seriously thinking about getting a cleaner to come in & do a one off deep clean of my wet room. @beanielou things to consider - 1) does it need to be done ? 2) can you afford to pay someone else to do it? 3) will it make things easier for you? There are no other questions necessary -if it means you will then be able to keep on top of it, go for it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
