Get well wishes to all the poorly folk.
Didn't do yoga this morning, must've nodded off briefly after my alarm! No bread taken out the freezer, so cooked enough pasta to make today's & tomorrow's dinners. Received some messages from my Norwegian friend with suggestions of things to do when we're there. (1 was an outdoor heated salt water swimming pool - I've never been in an outdoor pool before!)
A good day at work, made trifle with the class this morning.
Dashed home (forgetting to stop at a customer on the way back, but she'd had to rush to the vet, so would've missed her anyway). Contorted myself between boxes in the shed to find a book I'd sold on 3bay, then had a nap.
Did a sewing job after tea & had a soak in the bath (only 140 pages before I finish book 2 of the month 😊)
Btw DH got on ok yesterday with his specialist. Needs blood tests the next 2 weeks, just to make sure all is ok 🤞Also his & DS3's passports arrived 😃
Grateful for Norway suggestions, good stories, laughterUse it up, wear it out

It's time for get ready to empty the fridge weekend, I get paid on Monday - and I literally am out of cash, and really don't want to dig into any hidden funds, as am actually on budget. And have to pay for car insurance as soon as I get paid and probably a new dishwasher. Grrr. Happy Friday.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hello,
working from home today but also got some house work done. Got up early and as DH was away could make noise early. Bathroom cleaned, 3 loads of washing in the sun, fridges and BBQ cleaned. Gosh if I could be home working all the time my house would be spotless ... and I wouldn't get much paid work done 🙄. Need to find a routine again to do both better. Quick lunch and then get back to it. Still got to do shopping list, sort the Toys-R-Us like living room. Till laterDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2511 -
Haven't posted for a couple of days. Yesterday was up early and took my friend's dog for a walk. Into work then after a few meetings I had to drive to Dartford. I always dread it as whenever I go through there to visit my parents traffic is bad but the few times I've had to go for work it's been fine! Got home earlier than expected and carried on working until my laptop battery died. OH treated us to pizza from the pizza van that stops outside our house once a week
so I got the NSD!
Today I went into work early as had loads to do, felt like I was all over the shop with different visits and what not. Managed to get most of my work done though. Came home early to finish working as well. Did some pilates once I logged off. Also did the money shuffle as got paid from both jobs today as well. I lost my NSD as I bought some mints (sugar free polos are my weakness and there seems to be a shortage atm so I grabbed a pack!). I also paid a deposit for an appointment with a dermatologist about this lump in my back, they should be able to remove it for me.
I'm trying to stay on top of the to do list by starting the next day's jobs in the evening if I get a chance. It helps me feel a bit less stressed out. I've also put the case together to end my secondment, have a meeting on Monday but not sure if they will allow it. We can only wait and see.12 -

Today I am grateful for things going fine in the end at work despite many twists and turns, for a very amenable bunch of y11 that I teach, for DC coming home so I didn't have to collect them, for DH swapping out the broken loo (been using a bucket to flush it for about 10+ days) for the brand new one we must have bought about 8 years ago!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

It's still NSD 12.
We have family visiting from abroad for a few days so very exciting to spend time with them.
Grateful for watching DD interact with the other family children- they see each other rarely but definitely have a strong bond, my hot water bottle and salted caramel m&m's.12 -
No idea how to post a link GMN trawling through various threads and posts on the OS forum looking for something else on amother sleepless night I came across your House with an Habitual smoker thread from 6th Feb 2022.At the time many posters were asking all sorts of questions about the pandemic, shopping etc. During this night Iwas searching for something myself.Obviously the house next door to yours isn't likely to feature in House Beaufiful but if repairs etc were affordable it might provide a home for DS3, Beloved and the pets.As he does help sometimes with lifting and carrying heavy things you struggle with it would help you not to push yourself too far and be living on your own.The library, film club etc are part of your routine alomg with the market and other familiar places.I'm beginning to think I'm losing the plot. I was looking up the firm I first ordered one of my big garden grow houses from at one of the RHS garden shows a long time ago. This year I want to grow even more than usual. Following on from the camper van road trip I am keen to either rent one of my friends houses or buy one or one of the bungalows he'll have up for sale later this year;I found two ram raids on our local Coop very off putting but the village one is next to a busy road and not so vulnerable or easy to escape from before the police arrive as our local one is.I have been batch cooking shepherds pies during the night. sudden craving so big coat on and out to the garage freezer for the necessary ingredients. Decided to make a few eves puddings too and wil make some custard.Comfort food in cold damp weather.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.12 -
Keeping everything crossed for you for Monday @lcc86.
Glad you had a nice time out @beanielou, hope you didn't hurt yourself when you fell x
Forgot to put Thursday was another NSD, so think I'm now on 14.
Did yoga yesterday, feeling less movement in my hip again, with not doing it regularly, so must do better! A good day at work, though think there was something on the kids drinking water!
Dropped sewing off in town & picked more up - starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with the pile at the moment... Took mum shopping. In one of the supermarket carparks, I couldn't get into my car. Tried pressing all the buttons on my key to no avail. Went round the side of the car, thinking I'd have to extract the metal key part & unlock it the old fashioned way, & noticed the reflection of orange indicator lights in my side door. Turned round & I'd been trying to get into the wrong car! 😂 I'd spoken to a pupil from school in the shop, & they must've parked next to me. I didn't look at the numberplate, was just looking at the car. What a Wally!! Picked DS3 up halfway back to ours, then a detour to collect more sewing, so was after 7pm by the time I got home. Was glad to get my shoes off!
DH made my tea, then I put the shopping away & did some knitting. Started watching a new serial on BBC1, it's really good.
Grateful for me time, good TV, laughing at myself
Up early today (Sat) as I'm catching the boat over to Caithness to help a friend empty the last bits from s house she inherited. Excited cos we'll have time to look in M&B, which we don't have on our island 😃
Have a good day too!Use it up, wear it out
