Today was grocery delivery day. Purchases based on our meal plan with the exception of one bar of dark chocolate. Nothing out of the ordinary in my shop but it was expensive in comparison to my usual. My weekly basket used to (a few weeks ago) be between £40-45. But baskets are now regularly £50-55. Add that to midweek top up shops and the grocery budget is pretty much gone. I know there are people so much worse off but I’m just noticing the difference in my personal budgets.Groceries up by about £10-£15 per week. Energy up by about £100 a month. *sticks head in sand*DS and OH spent most of the day at football training and then going to watch the team they support actually win a game for a change!Took the opportunity to thoroughly clean the house while everyone was out: disinfected all downstairs surfaces in the kitchen, living/dining area, wiped down all seats and the sofa, cleaned all door handles and light switches, two washings hung out and then hung inside to finish off, vacuumed and disinfected floors (there was a buffet of crumbs behind the sofa that would have been a feast for a mouse)!Feeling good about getting so much done (goodness knows where the burst of energy came from… although, I have had decent sleeps the past couple of nights).Grateful today for a burst of energy, for Mum popping over for a chat, for living in a safe warm home with a full fridge, and for my family.

oh dear 42 new messages, have been busy elsewhere - like at work and a 'medical' day w ds1 on Thursday that left me very tired. Today I'm back on my little hobby horse - writing and editing all morning, a strong swim and clean the house this afternoon - so a good day. Grateful for ds1 cooking dinner, for joining 2 online writing groups and for ice cream waiting on the counter !

February
F - Freedom - I just don’t know where to start in all honesty! I had time to get stuck in today but just didn’t!! Need to give myself a talking to.
E - Exercise - 100 skips
B - Budget- Nothing here today
R - Rules - Nothing here today
U - Unburden- Nothing here today
A - Advanced planning - nothing here today
R - Refuel - Ate healthy, but had alcohol today only 2 shandies but still, slept well.
Y - You - self care - The word ‘neglect’ may be a bit strong but I feel like I’m neglecting things like my friendships, relationships, health, well being, career, home etc but also feeling neglected too. Need to have a proper dwell on this and figure out why & what to do about it. The only thing I seem to be progressing in is paying off my debt but it’s so boring and feels a bit stale & slow!!
2 - 2 trips out - planned
0 - 100 days to reach a goal - on track
2 - Read 2 books - nothing here today
3 - Gratitudes x 3 - A lie in, bargains for the home having items we need for ds homework, ds having a fun afternoon at his friends.
Still 5/15 nsds

Thank you @beanielou, that's so kind of you 😍 Wishing your maw an early happy birthday & a belated one for yours @apple_muncher. My mum was 66 on Wednesday, hence our fun day yesterday 😃

Did yoga for the first time this week. Hung the washing out on the line, then walked 4.3 miles with DH. Had the remains of lady night's takeaway for dinner, then bagged up & moved 0.5 tonne of sand. Decided to rest & read my book for half an hour then. After tea I did the ironing, half an hour's knitting whilst watching TV, did the dishes, then more Norwegian practice (38 day streak now! 😊)
Grateful for the wind not being as strong today, watching geese flying overhead, listening to Anne of Green Gables audiobook & hot water bottles to ease my aching backUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Another spend day, as DD was elsewhere I met a friend and we went to the pub to watch the rugby- very glad I did!
Have started sorting my wardrobe out- several items in a donation bag and several more to be tried on before I make a decision but I know there are clothes in there I never wear so I need to either get rid or start to wear them. Also working on random food items that I ignore in the cupboard- am working them into meal plans and making a mental note not to buy them again.
Grateful today for time to watch the rugby (and the result), the sun shining- enough to go out for a walk without a jacket on and a cat purring on my knee.
