Anyone having trouble registering a Kroo account?

I opened an account with them earlier this week; yes the different steps were a little slow but carried on.
I received an email from them the following morning confirming my account was open and I did a £1.00 transfer into te account which appeared in the account very quickly.
What I am having an issue with is ordering the debit card so I've sent them a message and awaiting a response0 -
Having worked in IT for many years I would say that you can bank your house on them having not putting enough capacity in place to deal with the inevitable demand. I am monitoring developments before I even consider trying to sign up with them.1

My account was verified this afternoon, about 24 hours after initiating the account set up. So some patience required whilst they are getting a flood of applications. Or possibly they were spending too much time chuckling at the video selfie of me in my dressing gown£20 pending showing in TopCashbackRetired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."1 -
Similar issues with app hanging, meaning that I had to restart the application a couple of times, but once I'd got to the ID check it all went smoothly and my account was approved within a few minutes.

I tried mine the other day, it hung and now it won't let me sign up as my details are registered but it wants to confirm my phone number but won't text me a code.

All that glitters is not gold. I too have tried several times and failed app freezes, next or back button doesn't work.. Seriously though have to ask myself if I need all this hassle just for an account you can save £85,000 in at 3.03% in a current account. There are so many accounts out there now offering very similar rates and have been much less hassle to open. Just my thoughts.

The main advantage would be the ability to pay out standing orders, DDs, etc from an account paying a decent rate of interest.

shame it's app. only0

The 3.03% AER interest isn't effective until 1 Feb, and the rate could be surpassed by then. If you're experiencing frustrating difficulties applying at the moment, don't bother wasting your efforts for its current interest rate which is far below competitive.
I applied back in November and it was completely smooth sailing, but there was no cashback offer nor interest then; both the benefit and drawback of being an earlier adopter before the account was newsworthy.0 -
I applied today, around lunchtime. Motorola (Android)It crashed about 4/5 times, but each time I went back, it seemed to carry on from where I left off.About an hour after starting, the account was approved.0
