So glad both of you are feeling better, Valli and Ionafan.Kitchen tidied, the leftover laundry all folded and put away, utility area tidied, complicated email written, muddle on my desk tidied. Most of this morning's things were the leftovers of Wednesday's flurry of activity and clearing all of them has freed up headspace for me to realise we can let two tables go the auction rooms and I can put a couple of items on Gumtwig. *fling*Anyone else following #sophiefromromania on Twitter?Better is good enough.12

Quick wave to show I'm alive.
The week has gone in a blur and panic as I've got this training thing to deliver tomorrow and am in a complete funk. I have got all my powerpoint and handouts done, with the former in 2 different 'cloud' storage, as a shortcut on my desktop and also a USB memory stick. I've tried it on desktop and laptop, with and without internet. I've sort of rehearsed aloud to myself and timed it. I've written a list of things I need to take tomorrow and am gradually putting them in a bag. I'm about to give the laptop another charge. I've grappled with running out of printer ink (I always have a spare), printing 20 copies of my agenda when I only need one for myself, wrestled with various UK/US voices on the 'read aloud' features, fiddled with a million settings which I thought were all universal..........now breathe. At least when I do next week's (I have 4 groups to train this week and 4 next week) I should have very little to do....unless none of my IT stuff work at all tomorrow. Not to mention I've got to get up nearly 2hrs earlier than usual tomorrow to actually get to MK....when I'd rather be sleeping then swimming.....ho hum.
However. I have also this week:
- been to uni twice
- finished and emailed a report-
- been to Mr T
- done a bit of drum practice and had a lesson
- kept up with emails
- been for a gym swim and one run
- done vague bits of flying, washing and washing up
- who knows what else as I'm in such a state I can't remember...........pathetic, me?
I still haven't got my car back (I'm getting a lift tomorrow anyway).
Tomorrow eve I have got a nice Mr T 'meal deal' which we can enjoy while I recover.
Sun I would have gone to the lake but I'm down for refreshments at church so thought I may as well volunteer to read too as someone dropped out.
The rest of Sun will be emptying the bedroom in preparation for the fitted wardrobes to arrive on Monday "between 7am and 7pm" if it's the former I will be grumpy. The fitters are coming on Tuesday.
Ok moan over, will crawl away and panic.
Oh, and my final preparation for tomorrow is I've been growing a cold sore so I look fantastic.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
My kitchen window, one of them, it's now as clean as the cooker!
I decided to put some insulated paper on the walls around the window. We have two foot thick walls, so the walls in the window recess. I cleaned the walls and the window. Measured the paper, put up the first piece and got paste all over the glass, cleaned the window. Put up the other two pieces, glue everywhere again, so I cleaned the window. Realised the window frame had glue on it, while cleaning that I got glue on the glass again, cleaned the window. Climbed down off the windowsill. Cleaning the paste brush, splashed gluey water on the window. Cleaned the window. I might add, the paste for this paper is really difficult to get off once dried. But the window is clean!
Not much else done.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.10 -
Thank goodness it’s Friday. It’s been a week…
Ironing up to date, the triumvirate are all primed. Dd has changed her bed…I’m in mine with a hot water bottle again…
but I have devised a cunning way to stay war, at work …fan heater under my desk thus ensuring a warm micro climate for my lower half which meant I didn’t take an hour to warm back up when I came home.Tomorrow I have to traipse to some village near J28 to pick up DDs birthday cake…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
DS2 washed some pots.. and I washed the rest while doing dinner.
OH lives despite his insistence he would not. Pixie was wilted this morning, perfectly fine at school (or her teacher is blind) and wilted again at home.. she was laid on the slate kitchen floor at one point.. really comfy!!
OH was paid today so I have paid many things.. nothing is paid off but over the next month many things will be.. I have a plan and it is not at all cunning!!
