Hello all, just bobbing in to warn you all to wear sun glasses in my kitchen. The cooker is gleaming sooo much! Also the floor and the bin, but those had to be done because i spilt butter/oil everywhere this morning making spreadable butter!
Chicken in the slow cooker, for tomorrow. Sausage out for tea. Sheep fed and counted. DW done twice. I'm really flying today. Will probably slow down by tomorrow though.
Glad your treatment is almost behind you, @Valli, glad to see you back, @Dizzy_Imp, hugs to everyone, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -
Hello
Thank you for the thread again x
I will have to try this lucky dip idea, as that might be the nearest that I get to being able to attempt to fly. Today as my “easy” day at work, and it has been full on. Like YL, I gave myself a talking to, and moved a stack of files off my desk and onto the shelves. Out of sight, (sort of) out of mind, and a much clearer desk, even if I haven’t finished all the work in them yet! Tomorrow the proverbial starts to hit the fan, so it will be fun, fun, fun until Friday when I might have decided that trying to live on thin air is preferable.
DH is dealing with needy visitors at work, so when he does finally get home, it is going to be fish fingers, beans and chips for tea.Clean washing folded and in the airing cupboard, that will be my flying done.10 -
Oh what a fun day. Member of staff A has told member of staff B something she shouldnt have done. Member of staff B has told me because she is upset but she doesnt want me to do anything because then member of staff A will know she has told me and it will make matters worse. I am cross, everyone is upset, and this was all before 11am on a Monday morning. It is all still unresolved so I have to tackle that tomorrow.
Well done on the kitchen cleaning Mumtoomany. Very little flying done except the basics. Tomorrow is another day.9 -
Morning all.Oh dear YSL, I hate office politics.
Yesterday before going to look after DGD2 I mopped all the floors so that is a job off my list today which looks a bit like this:
admin
dailies
scrub kitchen sink
change bedding
walk Poppet
hoover through
iron (only 2 items)
s&s bathrooms
flick the duster on a stick around the house
cut back two bushes in the garden
meet up with friends
and anything else I have time for although that looks a bit ambitious anyway.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
Thinking about you YL xx Sounds like where I work. I don't want to go today - still recovering from a frightful Thursday even though Friday was OK. Shall we chuck a sickie and meet up for a coffee. 😉
I think Feargal needs defrosting so I'd better get a move on.
My bed is made. Flying 😊

Morning all.
I am a bad Flylady - I have discovered that there is a thick layer of dust on the trolley which goes under my desk and holds the PC box of tricks. That means that I didn't dust properly last Friday before K came to clean. It will be my first job after breakfast, if not sooner.
Jazee said: "iron (only 2 items)"
The only things I usually iron are polycotton pillowcases, but I'm not allowed to pick up an iron atm. However, I have found that if I shake out the pillowcases while they are still slightly damp and fold them carefully, then hang them on the airer for 24 hours, I can get away with it. My iron might become fully redundant
DH suggested yesterday that we could go for a bacon sandwich lunch at the NT cafe on the big hill and then walk up the easy access path to the view point - not quite at the summit, about halfway up from the car park level. I declined the bacon sandwich because the cafe is on the north side of the hill, and has no indoor seating and only gets sun in midsummer, so we ate leftover sausages at home instead, but we did manage an hour's walk (with Rosie, of course) despite the cold.
Hope you can somehow sort out the awkward situation, YL x
Congratulations on your shiny stove, mumtoomany x
Fayolle, please remember to breathe today x
Have a good day, all xxx12 -
Admin done except one thing I need to discuss with DH first. I'm beginning to think the ombudsman is as bad as the energy company.Spend less now, work less later.11

Thanks, @YORKSHIRELASS and @ionafan. I should point of that the rest of the kitchen is not gleaming! Don't want to get burn out!
So far today, I've put seven ponytails in for two granddaughters, one wanted three the other four, cleaned a paintbrush of glue, put DW on and cleaned the cake tin. That's enough for now, going to write a shopping list.
Speak soon, hugs, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -
