Ask nicely, after you’ve made the tea/coffee. I wanted a replacement towel rail fitting and they were quite happy to do that.

On the topic of Octopus heat pumps (but not, sadly, involving chocolate Hobnobs) I had a missed phonecall and text message from Octopus earlier this week. They were following up on my enquiry last year about having a heat pump fitted.
I've had to say no again, as it's not convenient at the moment but I am still interested eventually.

I had an email from Octopus saying the cost of installation had gone up by a grand but they would still honour the cheaper quote if I wanted to go ahead, that was four grand and already turned it down. Personally, prefer air to air if that comes within the remit of the grant later this year, though obviously those who luxuriate twice daily in a bath of hot water would not agree.

Oh is air to air coming ?!
I’d love to have air to air with grant as assume it wouldn’t be crazy expensive to do 6/7 units in a bungalow ?!

You'll have to factor in the cost of getting planning permission.

Octopus has started doing my area.  Seems expensive (160m2 4 bed).  My last house was a no brainer because it had no existing central heating and I got the RHI grant.  Even if my gas boiler went pop I'd just replace like for like.  I think the days of Octopus doing this as a loss leader are over.

@shinytop does it say the difference between the two anywhere?
