Thanks for this, the signage has changed somewhat since "i dropped off my package" lol, I will ask for a SAR if they continue to proceed.
What is the point of delaying a SAR? You may as well request it now so that you are fully aware of what the claimant has or has not sent you.
Fair point, I was delaying in the hope it would get binned!

    Hi everyone,
I think I have messed up my defence 😰 I have just received my SAR and amongst it, they have sent me 2 appeal requests that I submitted over 5 years ago and the first one reads

    "Dear UK Parking Control Ltd,
During my lunch break on 24/11/17, I needed to close a post office account from my mother whom had passed away 2 weeks earlier. I drove around for several minutes trying to find a parking spot but it was totally full, pushed for time I parked at the drop off point then went in the post office for no longer than 4 minutes and upon my return, found the notice on my windscreen.
I approached the parking attendant and explained the circumstance and showed him my mums death certificate which he just shrugged his shoulders and said he could do nothing and was rather ignorant and walked off showing no compassion whatsoever. I appreciated that It was not a parking space where I stopped but given my state of mind after just losing my
mum and being at work, I was not thinking clearly and hope that this can be taken into consideration.
    Yours sincerely"

They then asked for addition evidence and my response was " You have asked for further evidence, what exactly do you want, proof that my mother has recently passed away (thanks for your sympathy) or proof that I was at the post office closing her account (not sure how to get this?"

I never got a response to this, they just continued with their demand. I also actually posted other documents/package regarding my late mother but this was not highlighted to them.

Is there anything I should be doing in changing my defence or am I too late?
All help and assistance as always, is gratefully appreciated.

Nope, the claim will be discontinued anyway if this is DCBLegal.  They don't seem to check anything in these cases so they'll give up at WS stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks @Coupon-mad and yes it is DCB Legal. This was the original sign which has since changed and is their evidence.

As said above by @Coupon-mad. However, my point about why wait to demand a SAR... 'nuff said!  ;)
