    Ironically it was the failed return of that same flight you had issues with, but the week before, that left us kicking around in Crete over a day longer than planned...
  • Hi all. Just wondering if anyone else actually received their compensation payment from corendon? 
  • I have been waiting since July 2022 for owed compensation. I went to the CAA who on the 12th May 2023 stated that Corendon should make payment - needless to say they have not. Corendon latest response was  "Unfortunately we cannot tell you when payment will take place. Payments are made in sequence and may take some time due to the crowds. We would therefore like to make you a voucher offer". Is there anything else I can do. I do not want to ever travel with them again, but starting to think a voucher is better than nothing! I've emailed the CAA again, but because corendon agreed to pay they have closed the case. But surely something can be done? They agree to pay but refuse to do it. Has anyone else from summer 2022 received their compensation money yet?

    I have been paid!  Almost 2 years after the delayed flight!
    I did an official complaint via the CAA and initially they came back to me to say that Corendon hadn't responded in the time frame given and if I wanted to take it further then to contact a solicitor.  I didn't accept this and I said they have a duty to enforce regulation 261.
    Within a couple of weeks the money was in our account.  No notification just arrived.
    Keep going!  They have a duty to pay and you don't have to accept the vouchers offered.

    Hi all, apologies for the slowness of update on my part. I too did get paid just under two years after the flight, in June 2024. In my case, although I had told Corendon I was going to the CAA re 261, I still hadn't actually got around to it by the time the payment came through. As above it came through with no notifiation, it just landed in the accounts.
