I would suggest you get a free sim from rwg and check your signal strength at home. If your signal isn't great then WiFi calling becomes more important. If your signal is OK it might do for your needs, not sure why you might need 5g
My inlaws live on the Welsh border and ee is the only viable network there. Our rwg phones get reasonable reception. The only time I would really have benefitted from WiFi calling was when we were staying in the brecon beacons and none of us had signal, there was broadband but no landline phone and we needed medical advice. Eventually we managed to get WiFi calling to work on FIL's ee phone. Without it someone would have been walking a mile along the lane to call.

Each £10 you topup adds 120 days to your disconnection date, so you can topup £30 once a year approx.

Someone mentioned a sale at the moment?  It appears the £10 I spent to buy my sim has earned me £15 credit?

Well my switch to 1P mobile is complete, my mumber has ported without issue and everything just works, including wifi calling.

It might seem a small thing, but with a very weak and variable mobile signal at home having wifi calling so I can still use my phone is important, and something that my previous provider, Sky Mobile spectacularly failed to manage.

If you live in an area with poor mobile coverage WiFi calling is a major plus. Also if you live in a house with thick stone walls I would imagine. There's nothing worse than having a mobile with no signal.
