  • Is anyone else having trouble collecting points on Amazon shopping? I've never had any problems before but for the past few weeks I've been getting the following message:

    Yes me.  Though I get a different error, it's not the same as yours (although I was getting that same message you're getting for my Youtube connection for a month or so, then it started working again). 

    The other connections I have all work, except for Amazon shopping at the moment.  For me, it just takes like 15-20 minutes to attempt to sync the data, then just errors.  Hasn't worked for a couple of months.

    Yeh Amazon shopping and Apple TV have been broken for months.

    Yes, but I get something along the lines of, "oops, something's gone wrong." I used to have the error you state for YouTube but after many weeks it began working again.

    I’ve just logged into Yiugov finance for first time since the previous scheme ended and still have the same message showing and can’t see anywhere about connections etc: 

    “We have made the decision to stop collecting financial data through the existing YouGov Finance platform.

    Thank you for your participation in YouGov Finance! 

    You can still revoke your consent to YouGov Finance at any time using the button below, which will stop all sharing of your transaction data with us. 

    Fortunately, we are also exploring a new and improved way for you to earn points by sharing your banking transaction history with us, and we hope to share more information about it soon.”


    And if I log in to yougov just has Home Ratings Rewards across top so again no connections option.

    so doesn’t look like I can participate in the new scheme as yet.

    Yes but different message along similar lines to what wmb194 is seeing (I always have 1, usually 2 that are broken & it rotates around which are affected)
    (Also the pulse connection survey sent months back will never accept the email address I use for my yougov account, I emailed them about that but they have absolutely no clue and aren't interested in investigating or trying to fix it seems, supposedly was referred to tech who have never got in touch)
    - Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
    - Student Loan gone
    Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps

    I've had the invite for Banking Connections but when I try to add a connection, it errors out after authenticating the account ("Error... please try later").
    It doesn't matter if I authenticate via the bank website or via the banking mobile app - this has happened with Halifax (tried 3/4 times) and twice with my Amex card.

    Does it work for anyone else?

  • I've noticed the Youtube connection seems to have been changed to only being possible every 30 days now, instead of every 7 days.

    Just keep an eye open for accounts that suddenly stop being connected and need renewing. I just happened to check the page and one of my accounts disconnected a couple of days ago.

    When I tried to renew the connection, I got an error message. It's hard to say if it was the same one that @SamDude mentioned above because it disappeared very quickly but I'm assuming it was.

    Thanks for the heads up sparky, 5 of mine (same bank) needed renewing. Managed to renew ok on second attempt.
