Trying to add new account and got this message

    Is this a new limitation?
Yes, it’s new. I’ve been with them for 10
Months, and that’s the first time
    I’ve seen it

All mine have been accepted, but the general consensus was they won't be eligible for any payment till at least a month old. But as they're 'in' I'm loathe now to try to relink them in case they're refused.
May as well just wait, we'll see.
You'll need to relink them after 90 days anyway.

It's not just the age of the account, but also when and how many transactions have occurred since the account was opened.

    E.g.
    1. Credit card: 3+ years old; numerous transactions in the two-year access history; most recent transaction 112 days old. Awarded 500 points.
    2. Current account: 3+ years old; two transactions 472 days old in the two-year access history; two transactions occurring less than an hour after linking with TrueLayer, but almost 24 hours before being awarded 500 points.
    3. Current account: 40 days old; first transaction 34 days old; three transactions 8 days old. Awarded 500 points.
    4. Current account: 46 days old; first (and only) transaction 46 days old. No points awarded.
    5. Current account: 7+ years old; most recent transaction 618 days old. No points awarded.
    6. Savings account: 142 days old; first (and only) transaction 1 day old. No points awarded.

Essentially for newer accounts, now that their systems prevent adding accounts too new to qualify, ensure there are at least a couple of transactions in the opening period before linking.

Hopefully I've made enough transactions on the new accounts that they should qualify. Kept my usual supermarket shopping to my Nationwide account for the 5% but for petrol stations, my work (a garden centre), certain co ops, small transfers, I've been using them all.

As there is now no additional benefit to be gained from having more that 10 active current accounts/credit card accounts linked to my YouGov account, I'm thinking of immediately removing my sharing permissions for all of the other accounts I've linked in excess of this number and just continuing to transact on and recycling my chosen 10 every 3 months..

Can anybody see any drawback in doing this or anything else which I've overlooked?

I've just done the same thing.  I had 20 current accounts or credit cards, plus a few savings accounts.  I've pared down to 10.

While its a shame the reward will be £50 instead of £100, I can also scrap the plan I had for maintaing some activity on accounts I don't normally use.   I will be paying Council Tax with one payment every month instead of seven!

Got the email, no mention of the 100 points for savings accounts. Is this still unlimited or have they scrapped it all together?

I think when they refer to "bank accounts" in the limit, that includes savings and current accounts. There was no mention of the points system changing. So avoid savings accounts if you have enough qualifying current accounts or credit cards.

Of course, we can see the same when we login to yougov finance and attempt to link an account.

Does anyone know if the above list has changed over time? I mean has there been any additions (or removals for that matter)?

That link above (https://yougov.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5912368481565-How-does-YouGov-Finance-work-) says last updated 8 months ago!

Curious if the list has stayed the same for the last 8 months.
