  • Could someone please help me on this.

All the other accounts to which I have cards/PINs I have successfully loaded, still waiting a couple of new cards.

However........Barclays. OMG this one is driving me batty. I have done everything it says, logged on to online banking, given permission for open banking, put in the 6 figure code the Barclays site give you.

Yet.......when I go back to the original page as Barclays tell me to do either I get timed out (no way are they giving me 5 minutes it takes me about 40 seconds max) or if I click go back to third party provider as it says on the page (Yougov) it simply crashes.

    So what do you do?

Don't know if anyone else has this but compared to some banks, their website isn't great. Have to press so many buttons or links twice.

Hey ho! Any help gratefully received.

    Thank you @Bridlington1 @Band7
    for highlighting this.

I added 2 current accounts and a credit card.

Others wouldn’t work and I have accounts that aren’t eligible.

I set up 10 new savings accounts that I’ve been able to add, as none I’ve already been paying into have come up as eligible.

So in all 2,500 points or £25 each time these are re-authorised. But if I don’t do the surveys, still only half way there.

I’ve been a YouGov member for ages though and don’t mind it apart from the fact it’s so very slow. If this all goes through, I’m here with everything crossed,  this time around it does take me past the £50 thanks to points already accrued over far too long.

Maybe I can get others to work in the future, so long as it’s worthwhile per time taken.

Just adding this information in case it’s of use to anyone looking into this for a first time.
My update is that my YouGov Finance account now tells me I have linked 13 accounts and 10 of those are displayed with the relevant bank branding. The first three added 500 points each.

Around 50 hours after linking 10 newly set up savings accounts with Lloyds, they remain visible as being linked but no points have been added. I have 880 points needed until I can cash out.

I have another current account I could add but have to faff about to recover  my pass number first.

Just wanted to recount my experience in case it’s useful to anyone.

I had a similar issue but it was my own fault. I was trying to add a Barclaycard but just chose Barclays from the list rather than Barclaycard. Double check you're using the correct one.

Thankyou, yes its just an ordinary Barclays debit card. On the Barclays app you can see I've actually put it through 6 times haha! As yet its not loaded on to the YouGov finance site, maybe being Sunday that's normal. I can always contact either party if it still doesn't go on.

Update.....finally gone through, tried it with the Yougov finance site on Chrome, worked fine. No idea why the numerous other attempts didn't work/stalled.

One more done! Thanks for your reply.

Evidence/feedback in this thread suggests newly created accounts (less than a month old when added) don't add points.
It doesn't appear they add points later (once over a month old) until they are relinked.

There need to be some transaction(s) on the account too.

Thank you, yes it seems naive of me now that I expected them to track. I wonder if past 90 days will work on the same accounts. I need to sort Nationwide current account and savings account, but won’t hold my breath on the savings account, these are both five years old.

My TSB Spend & Save account has 'disconnected' after about four days and needs to be reconsented. Anyone else had this with an account?

This has happened to mine too.

It also happens with connections from other open banking apps to TSB. I think their open banking infrastructure is underpowered.

FYI if you reconnect, it will reset the open banking renewal to 89 days, so you may need to manually reconnect 90 days after the original connection, to get the next reward.

... putting it another way, don't worry about it.  Just refresh everything in 90 days.  If you refresh now, you will lose out as you will be waiting longer for your next TSB payout.
