I figured out how to get Chase working again. I had to click the three dots in the top right of its 'box' and select delete. Then when I attempted to reconnect it gave me a QR code that Chase was now happy to use and it connected successfully.

We would like to inform you about an important update to our “bank transaction history” feature, which can be found by clicking either the “Banking data” button on your member dashboard or the Connections tab at the top of the page.

What will change with the banking feature?

As you may already know, this feature allows you to earn extra points every day by securely sharing your bank transaction history with us. And while previously you could share data from up to 10 bank accounts, moving forward you will only be able to connect up to 3 of your main current accounts or credit cards to the platform simultaneously.

If you already have over 3 bank accounts connected, you can still earn points from them all. However, you will not be able to add any additional accounts without removing ones that are currently connected.

Similarly, you can no longer add new savings accounts to the platform, but if you already have savings accounts connected, you can keep renewing your consent to share data from them and continue to earn points.

This is quite a big reduction in points for those who haven't yet connected 10x current accounts/credit cards to their connections.  Luckily I have already got 10 so it sounds like for those who have already done this, we can just keep renewing them (if I've understood the email correctly).

Open Banking with YouGov needs renewing every 90 days, so will probably get clobbered down to 3 next time the connections are reconfirmed

And what about the Plaid service having constant issues and connections get lost? Coop bank got lost now a second time for me within 3 days and the only way to get it back up working is to delete it as I can't renew. Natwest also got lost the other day. True Layer was a lot more reliable imho.

Also, with only 3 accounts, if that's the case moving forward, unless we can keep using the 10 already connected in the future, that would be 54 quid a year.

Yes, that's what I said - the post was in regards to things like being paid for youtube or browsing history, nothing to do with open banking

Have to ask what was the point of having a big revamp to then cut the amount of linked accounts within a couple of months?

Why not just relaunch it with a max of 3 to start with?

I'd guess it's just that someone's decided to look for new ways to save money cf its annual results published yesterday. They may have also noticed that the data from many of the linked accounts are pretty worthless...
