    Electric Jan 2022, average 3.5 kwh's a day

    Electric Jan 2023, average 7.1 kwh's a day

Been on the Playstation a lot and been in sleep mode overnight a few times to re-charge controller.

Wonder if it's due the dehumidifier being on 24/7 - I have 2, one is always on for drying clothes and the other is set for something when it hits it operates.

    Gas Jan 2022, average 18.7 kwh's a day

    Gas Jan 2023, average 2.3 kwh's a day

Heating has not been on, been warmer this month so far, currently showing as 13.5 like last month but not feeling the cold compared to last month.

Also not using the radiator to dry clothes since I found you use the dehumidifier only (I used both previously, clothes around radiator and the dehumidifier opearting in the background, now the clothes are centered around the dehumidifier).

I guess most who say no heating on or little use are out at work during the day or are single or living with a very like minded energy saving partner?

Or living in a well insulated modern property, combined with what would generally be regarded as a warm January.

Yes a passive house for sure, or a flat with neighbours heating around. Had a middle flat once and that never needed any heat.

Personally even a high B efficient modern detached house I reckon I would stil have had some heating on but with Mrs mstty it's "on on"

However everyone and every house is different so anything goes.

Electric is 6.6kWh/Day compared to ~10kWh/Day compared to last January, which is consistent with the last few months.
Gas is 38kWh/Day so far, compared to 58kWh/Day over the whole of Jan 22.

On average, for our part of the country, looks like the first 10 days of this year has been a little colder than the first 10 of the last, but more consistent, last year started warmer had a big dip then warm again.

Work from home and am in for usually 20+ hours a day but yes, I live alone, and the dogs and cats don't complain (much) if it's a bit nippy.
Heated throw has made it completely bearable to not use the heating for the majority of the time - or really at all - since the cold snap ended. Have used central heating a few limited times in Jan to help dry clothes when I've come in soaked from a dog walk, but certainly not daily.
Currently 11 degrees outside, my lounge is 14 degrees and my heated throw is around 30 degrees on a medium setting.

    Jan 2023 80kW/h a day
    Jan 2022 125kW/h a day

Looking really good, but next week will be much colder, so will wait for the month to finish to accurately compare.
