    Yep, that's the type.  The bathroom is probably the room with the most lighting use because of various health conditions, so running a 28W bulb in it whereas every other room with less lighting time using ~6-11W is a bit galling.

    ... as you may have noticed not LED, but fluorescent, however claims 80% energy saving over standard. Claims up to 10 years life but some reviews suggest fails a lot earlier (others probably wouldn't know).

    I bought a Wilko low energy LED tube light for the bedroom 2 years ago and am impressed by the brightness and tone.

  • I like soft lighting in the lounge so have two table lamps and a floor lamp in our small lounge. That's three 5W LED bulbs. But Mrs InvertedVee says it's gloomy and so we usually have the main 10W ceiling light on as well!

    The kitchen is lit like an operating theatre - a six-spot track with 30W total plus 9W LED ceiling light.
    3 bed det. built 2021. 2 occupants at home all day. Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i combi boiler heating to 19-20C from 6am to midnight, setback to 17.5C overnight, connected in EMS mode to Tado smart modulating thermostat. Annual gas usage 6000kWh; electricity 2000kWh.

    My favourite Smart Bulb feature is definitely running lights from close to 5% levels.

    We have thick, lines curtains that overhang the window voids in every direction and blinds inside the void. This means there is no light visible from the outside.
