Stopping in bus stop - Quorum Business Park - Private Land £60 for 3 mins! Excel Parking CCTV

Good.
Sit tight @Biketruck. Complaints all round but no being spooked and paying Excel!
Do you want to join us in stopping this happening to other people and banning the added £70 extortion? You can help shape the new law, so please don't disappear just yet.
A final Public Consultation is coming.
We need you; motorists need you to help us make a difference forever. What a waste of your time this is. It's truly horrible being pursued for £100 (plus false 'fees' which will be added soon for no reason) by an aggressive ex-clamper firm, isn't it?
Join us in trying to end the conniving PPC and DRA 'added fees' fuelling the court culture. There will be one window of opportunity - the Public Consultation is anticipated very soon.
If you are not likely to pop back here every week to check, please set up email alerts for this forum and bookmark this thread (below) as we intend that one of us posts on it when the Government opens the Consultation:https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333989/mse-parking-ticket-appeals-guide-feedback#latest

The PPC money-grabbers blocked the new Code by filing for Judicial Reviews. Stopped the declared and much welcomed parking code from February 2022, which stated that added £70 false 'DRA fee' extortion was to be banned and that parking levels would start at £50.
It's on hold. Motorists urgently need it reinstated and the ban on false 'DRA fees' confirmed.
This year will be your chance to make a difference, plus any other drivers you know (family, friends) who are also fed up to the back teeth with the greedy and unscrupulous parking industry and the stranglehold they and their nasty 'debt recovery' firms have on people.
We need high numbers of real victims to make a point of responding to this final Consultation

Just for info - to share - have any of you come across these guys? https://parkingmateuk.com/parking-fine-appeal-app/ They make it their business to represent you against Excel and others. They only charge a fiver for the initial letter picking up on points that perhaps you've missed. They have a 4.5 out of 5 reviews on Trust Pilot - with lots of people finding a result after the initial letter and then they also do a no win no fee to represent you in court if it indeed goes that far.
Might be worth the fiver! To be honest I'd rather pay the £120 to someone who could win these scumbags than pay the fine - cos it's not just the money, it's the fact that in the UK this actually goes on.
Thanks

They wont win an appeal against excel i will put a donation to charity on it.....3

I second what @Grizebeck said.
Don't waste your money on the bloke who runs ParkingMate (I think he is a one man band).
I used to run an appeals firm. So did another poster or two on this forum (who will remain nameless).
We are better than ParkingMate and we are free.
We also have years (over a decade) of experience in this issue that he (the bloke from PM) doesn't have and I'm the only consumer appointed to the Government Steering Group advising them about shaping the new private parking Code of Practice.
You cannot get better advice than from the regulars here. No need to look for more.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The style of my complaint to the above is based on unfairness, gravy train, predatory filming, honeytrap, entrapment, etc. and alludes to the fact that this company has a chequered history - with numerous court cases and was the focus of a BBC Watchdog TV Program for their behavior accusing them of creating a 'Cash Cow' using inadequate signage to trap motorists in paying fines.
Is it OK to refer to ME with the letter of complaint? But I was going to copy Excel into the letter too - so they knew I was fighting this.
What do you think?

I think in your case admit to being the driver in every response.
They have CCTV of you getting out of the driver's seat! Whilst of course there is no facial recognition and they don't know who that person is (yet) they will do when you attend a court hearing and it's clear the evidence shows your good self.
So be honest (as the wronged driver) and angry about this predatory filming and ticketing!
I'm a 'dudette' (dude-ess?!) by the way!
I am the lady on the beach in this show from last year, which is worth parking firm victims watching, you will learn a lot:

https://www.channel5.com/show/parking-the-big-conSorry Dudess! OK I get you. Will have a look at that in a minute - in the meantime, I noticed in the template letter on here (for the appeal) that is says the following:
· The notice to keeper is incorrect
The Notice to Keeper failed to meet the obligations of Schedule 4 of the POFA Act 2012. [eg if the Notice to Keeper arrived late (after 15 days following the alleged parking office, or after 56 days following the issue of a parking charge notice on your windscreen].Both of my PCN's were issued way past the 15 days:
PCN # Contravention Date: EPS2040657 11/10/22 PCN ISSUED: 21/11/22 (42 Days later)
PCN # Contravention Date: EPS2040814 14/10/22 PCN ISSUED: 01/12/22 (49 Days later)
Will this help?By the way, after digging around I've also found Excel under scrutiny by BBC Watchdog, an article about Exessive Ticketing by the Manchester Evening News and even an employment tribunal found against them for deducting monies from an employee without proper authority - I've added this to my letter to the Business Park, Greggs and Puregym.

Sadly the channel 5 site seems to be having problems at the moment - comes up with a message to try later... which I will.

I think you've been reading MSE's guide to parking tickets which is sadly still fairly awful.
That is not written by the experts on this forum so stop reading that misstated article. We never tell people to read that!
In your case a late (but still acceptable on a non-POFA basis) NTK won't assist you because you were the driver. Forget that.
MSE journos don't seem to realise that non-POFA PCNs are allowed too...the POFA is not the only PCN style.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
