I phoned the dentist and she receptionist consulted with the powers that be and phoned me back. All ok to attend the appointment on Wednesday. At least I asked- hope the dentist doesn’t get the lurgy 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I do still have a couple of days to get rid of it.
l had a long chat why brother this afternoon and although he still isn’t on top form has made some important decisions which he told me about. He seems more settled than I’ve heard him in a very long time. The incident with his grandchild was settled to everyone’s satisfaction and he is on the mend nicely. 👍
I've quite enjoyed my decluttering- which has included much wool 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫 yes I have a nervous twitch after writing that statement. I’d started an Aran jacket for my gdd when she was 2 - she is nearly 7 now so even if I finish it it won’t fit - it didn’t bring me pleasure anymore so out it has gone…..or it will when I next see my sil - one of her knitting ladies will make use of the 4 big balls or Aran 😀 I need to look up the lady who says that….is it Marie Kondo or something similar?January spends - £587.580 -

Mmmmmmm…..looking at the room gks use and the lack of floor space therein - I think all I’ve achieved is moving anything surplus from my bed room into there 😳 Not sure my get up and go is up to tackling it today but I’ll give it half an hour and see what transpires…..it might be a cuppa, knitting and bit of tv…..or I might just surprise myself. 😂😂😂
My bedding is all in on a 60 degree wash with a splash of zolflora to banish any lingering germs. I’m going to do a covid test this evening as I’m running out of test kits and hopefully Mr M can return to the nest if he so desires 😆😆…it’s been 8 days now since I tested positive 🤞🤞🤞 fingers crossedJanuary spends - £587.581 -
I have given up testing now. We both agreed there was no point with me being back at work and us sharing the car again!0

I know what you mean RS. If Dh didn’t have such a bad chest I don’t think I would. The dentist didn’t seem bothered when I phoned to ask whether or not to keep the appointment tomorrow….I’m past the 5 days so that’s all they were interested in. I’m not convinced the newer guidelines are right…..but what do I know. You have to have faith in the folk who make the rules up 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😳😳😳😳😂😂😂😂 and that thought fills me with panic 🤪
I did nip and hand my mattress protector for a wash at the laundrette. Twas looking a tad sorry for itself but has come up like new once again 👍 £17 but cheaper than a new oneJanuary spends - £587.580 -

Positive again……not sure at all where the 5 days come into the equation. I can only presume someone has decided you don’t shed as many germs after the 5 days. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️I have been downstairs in the same room from yesterday as Dh but he’s naturally sits at one end I sit at the other end -more than 6 ft between us - he’s been out at work until 6.30 and I’ve been going up to bed about 8.January spends - £587.580

How about donating unwanted wool to your local baby hospital? A group of ladies have raised over £50k by knitting baby items for people to buy at the Liverpool Women's Hospital, and there are similar initiatives elsewhere. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Satchmo my sil runs a knit and natter group for the community near her - they’re mainly older folk who live in sheltered housing and they knit for a variety of charities…..twiddle sleeves for dementia patients, hats for homeless and the local baby unit have benefitted this year…they change the charity every couple of months or so. Theres about 20 ladies and I go along occasionally as it’s not particularly near me 👍 I’ve been teaching some of them to crochet.. Plus they have a sale in the porch of the local supermarket near Christmas towards a Christmas outing for the group…..so I’m happy that my wool will end up in a good home. Some of the ladies must knit all day long as they make lots of amazing things. One made my brother an Aran jumper in less than a week 😳😳😳 it’s taken me 5 years to knit a back of a toddler cardigan 😂😂😂😂😂. All I need now is a negative covid test and I’ll take in over on Tuesday. I’m not going anywhere near my brother until I’m negative.
I’ve also earmarked a charity shop run by my local children’s hospice. I hadn’t realised they had a shop. I know many families that have been helped by this hospice. So I don’t mind my expensive dream shoes going there 👍 I know they’ll only get peanuts for them but at least the peanuts will be going to a good cause. My crocheted blanket will also be going there.
I did make a little inroad to the gks bedroom…..all the rubbish is now in the bin ready for the bin men tomorrow. Things for charity shop nicely sortred. I’ll sort all the toys out tomorrow as I just closed the door gks went home in August and nobody else uses the room. The end is in sight.
