Still testing positive. My throat is still sore but nothing like it was…..I’ve had a few sneezes and did cough the first day but it has affected my throat and generally just aching and feeling tired more than anything. I’m beginning to go a bit stir crazy stuck in the bedroom. I have popped downstairs when Dh has been out but I really don’t want to pass it to him. From what I can gather from the info out there they don’t advocate isolating anymore…..no wonder it’s rife. Makes sense to me to stay away and keep him safe.
I have been able to concentrate on a bit of knitting today but am getting mightily fed up of the cardigan im making for myself. Not sure why I tackled something so big. From now on (when I’ve finished everything else) it’s small projects all the way for me.
Depending on how I feel I might empty my wardrobe and give it a declutter tomorrow….it certainly needs it……or maybe I’ll start with the drawers 👍

It's bizarre. When I had it - tested positive on a Friday morning - I emailed work (I didn't work Friday then) and they asked me to come back in the office on Wednesday as that's five days, irrespective of how I tested. However there's no actual advice.0

Awww, sorry to hear that you have been struck by Covid, @milann. Two of our friends have just had it, one of them quite badly. I think that unless any horrendous new variant cones along, it seems to be treated like flu now, with no official advice to test or isolate. We will have to get used to it, just as we do with other winter illness. I gather even the sampling at water treatment plants has stopped, so the only current method of estimating numbers of current cases appears to be based on counting cases in hospitals. I'm making a conscious effort to stand back from people when out & about. I would pay for a private jab if available, but am under-age for the current NHS programme.
Hope you feel much better soon.

It’s crazy Peb…..if you’re positive you’re obviously going to spread the germs. Like you said - I know of people who have been told they must go into work because the 5 days is up. I’m lucky that doesn’t apply to me now but I’d be staying off regardless as it would mess me up emotionally thinking I’d passed it on to a really vulnerable person. 😂😂😂Look at me I’ve had one mild dose and here I am an expert 😂😂😂 Common sense and regard for safety ( personal and that of others) has to come into force somewhere.I had the best night sleep I’ve had in a very long time last night. I turned the light off just after midnight and didn’t wake up u til after 7. Unheard of. 😁😁😁 Not sure if it’s because I’m not constantly putting the kettle on to make a cuppa therefore up and down to the loo all night, the fact I’m not disturbed and have the room to myself ( I have missed Dh 😉), the cool dark nights or a combination of everything but it’s brilliant. Long may it last 😁
It’s been quite interesting watching the heartbeat feature on my bit fit. In the day before and first couple of days of the lurgy it was more than double my average beat…just whilst resting . Then it was higher than average with high spikes BUT from about mid afternoon yesterday it’s back within my normal range. I know it isn’t accurate and can’t be used medically but this has to indicate that covid is on its way out of my system 😁👍
Fingers crossed for a negative 🤞🤞
Just had a great deal of satisfaction by untangling a big mess in my of wool 😂😂😂 how does in get itself in such a mess and I can’t even blame it on a cat 🤪😂
Right now I’ve sent everyone back to sleep with my ramblings I’m going to have a bath and empty a drawer at a time to declutter some stuff from my bedroom.January spends - £587.580 -

If it is positive I'm staying at home and will ring HR and see what they want me to do.
I would quite happily go back now but don't want to spread it around the office and wipe everyone out!0
