Dh has just bought me a magazine with free membership to SlimmingWorld so I will only pay for the actual session….no missed weeks and no joining fee. I’m ready to start again tomorrow….I’ll be a new me in 23 - I’m soooo determined this time 👍
I’ve booked a tai chi session on Monday - a friend of Dh is going so it’ll be good to have somebody I know there. I’m going to have a swim first. I can’t do much on Tuesday as my friend is taking me to a hospital appointment about my arm but weather permitting we will hopefully get a walk at a pretty place with a lovely waterfall whilst in that area.  I’m going to do a gym session on Wednesday 😃…. It’s a great programme….the computer aided equipment remembers everything 👍 I’ve had it set up on the starting to get moving programme so it’s not strenuous at all. Could be interesting though as I’ve not been for a while. I don’t even know why I stopped going…..I think it’s because my arm was rubbish.
The garage phoned saying the car was ready and we were virtually there and they phoned again saying they’d found another problem 😳 watch this space…..

Great planning there - and nice to be planning something exciting and adventure-y as well, I'll be looking forward to hearing more about that!

Picked the car up….£500 was hopeful. It turned out to be a fiver short of £700 😳😳. It had to be done as we couldn’t get anything back by selling it as it wasn’t working at all. We were just lucky Dh could get it to his works carpark and the garage was next door. We’re hopefully going to use part of the bit from today (Dh explained it to me but I could write what I know about cars on a postage stamp) …..it was cheaper for the garage to buy a whole unit but didn’t need to use it all…..so we’re hoping the surplus bit might go on the other car to repair the air conditioning. I can only assume the air con is a weak spot on our cars…..both the same make and year and the air con stopped working within a year of each other. It actually stopped the fan belt working this time though.
Dh is heading out tonight and I’m planning an early night with a cuppa and catch up tv in bed 👍

I spent over £1k on 2 repairs for mine at the end of the year so I feel your pain. Such a relief to get them back on the road though and definitely cheaper than a new car.
I can’t believe how much exercise you have planned, you are putting me to shame! I’m very impressed.

Please don’t get too excited about my new venture….it’s not really that exciting and I will tell all once I know if it’s worked or not.
The exercise regime is only what I used to do. I’m a bit apprehensive about the tai chi as last time I did it I ended up with a stress fracture in my hip. I’m going to try as it’s with a lady I know but I could well give up half way through if I can’t manage or balance.
I rejoined SW this morning- Dh picked me up and promptly took me out for breakfast 😏 No wonder I struggle. I had a breakfast muffin but took everything out of the muffin and Dh ate that.
im half way through taking my decs down…..I’ve always done it on the 6 th….the day the 3 kings visited the stable it looks very bare 😳
Just checked my bank balance and no sign of the coat money hitting my account yet. I’ll give it a few more days and contact them. The tracking says it was delivered on 3rd January but I suspect they’ve had a Christmas backlog.

Discovered your diary and will cheer you on a& subscribe. Sounds like you've done really well over the years, its amazing how life's events can make us re-evalute our life. We had a similar experience 8 years ago with DH being in hospital and then I got made redundant twice. Certainly makes you realise what's important.    Like you, I don't work now, since 2020. I know what you mean about no purpose in life. I am doing loads of exercise classes online and meeting friends for coffee, (when its good enough to sit outside, as I still have a covid phobia indoors). Also taken up jigsaw puzzles and gardening as hobbies. Thinking about voluntary work, but not sure what to try.

Hope you enjoy the Tai Chi class. I tried it for a while, to help my Osteoarthritis, but the room was too small with too many people crammed in for my liking. So I stick to doing stuff online and outside now.   Do you have Osteoporosis? Only asked as you mentioned stress fractures. I was diagnosed with it, which is why I exercise a lot more now.

    Good luck.
