Thanks beanielou much appreciated I do feel I am getting nowhere.

So I have done some money saving this morning. I converted my last holding of £ to kroner as I could see the rate was quite good and I can earn 1.30% interest so worth moving as I was getting nothing. It is not a lot compared to the lovely rates of the UK but I live here now and that is it really. The money in cash is what I have to live on but I would rather invest it but until we get more of a steady income that is not an option. It feels so wrong not saving anything every month like I used to. Hopefully those days will come back.

The work I am doing for DG is so so boring but it needs doing and I am progressing with it.

I do want to get on with my garden to do list but this work takes priority so I am stuck indoors for now.

Morning its Friday and I am still working on the bits DG gave me but at least I am making progress.

Not been able to progress anything but work does come first. I am so annoyed I missed an email on our business email for an urgent enquiry. It was great we got it as I think he found us via our website (only place we use that email) but answering 4 days later is not good. We could not have taken the work on in the timescale but still it did not look good. I have done some work on my PC settings and I think I need another screen as I am working with so many documents now. We also had another two phone calls but not sure where they came from with landlords wanting help so that is really really positive. Maybe my marketing is working however DG forgets to ask where people have heard about us so that does not help.

Today I am hoping DG does not give me more work but I think she will as I would rather work on the website and get that really nicely sorted. I need to do some research and see what what people charge etc. I think we could improve it so so much.

Morning did have a very quiet weekend two rounds of golf and some tidy of the pool bar getting an IKEA shelf added. She do not need to add any more but we do have a spare set that can do back and a spare single one so not sure what to do with that.

Did not get any gardening done but hopefully a bit this week before the weather turns really hot again. I want to get all the perennials cut down that can be cut down before we go away. My niece will be here and she can water but I am not sure how great she is at it. I will make sure I put all the posts in the same place I might even rig up the self-watering kit I do have. Lets see how much time I get. As my dad is moving all weekend and Monday I need to be ready and packed for Tuesday. We do not need to take a lot of clothes with us but we are going to a 60th birthday and also the Drag Brunch thingy. The hotel has a night club downstairs which we might pop into but we shall see. Our friend will pick us up from the station so that will save an Uber and I am hoping she will pick the car up from another station at the end before we go to Brighton so we do not need to rely on Ubers (no trains where we are staying just a ferry so a bit of pain.

I have done the marketing but I did get quite far with the new pricing page for our website (Gemini) was amazing at spotting some competition set up I could "borrow". I want to get working on this it is something I have never done but a skill i think is really cool.

I do also need to progress with the work for DG it is so so boring so I need to take it in chunks. I also wants to mow the lawn you can really see all the weeds going now which is a relief as they really were taking over and it was more weeds than lawn. Sorry all those that love a wild garden for the bees it was just too much. Over here we have a saying Vild med Vilje - it meas deliberately wild I think my garden was that concept. Quite funny next door (not the new ones) has a ditch like I had on the new plot running right through their garden. They did not want it covered when I had mine done but I have notices they have now had it covered and his had has spent all weekend filling it in. It looks so much better and I am hoping we can now have some kind of divider between us or just leave it as it is. His chicken run is right next to my apple trees but I do want to use the land to store some of my spare soil and also make a compost set up. I might do it in pallets or I might order a proper set up. With delivery it might work out the same and I can actually start using it rather than spend time buying brackets and fixings. It will need digging into the ground I think but you can get those spike things I am hoping they will be easier to deal with. I would like it to have 3 bays so I can swap the soil around. Ups I did not post this yesterday + I have not ordered the composter but I think I will if I get birthday money from my mum. I think it will look excellent on the new plot and really help keep things tidy in the main garden.

Got up early today as DG was awake at 5am. It is all work getting to her again so actually not that great but we are finishing early as she has her gyno app and we are going to see the new car. It is a really nice town kind of an XL version of what we live really.

So this morning being up early I have eradicated some slugs in my garden, put a wash on ready for 10am when it is cheap, done maintenance on the robo hoover and moved all stuff around him.

Today I really want to get further with the website honestly it was so so good to work on it. I used Gemini to prompt me how to input the text I have done and it was really really easy. I am still glad we got the main site done by the people who did it as that would have been a step to far or taken far too long. I am amazed at how easy it is and how good it can actually look. Obviously I have not published the page yet and I need to integrated it into the rest of the site but it is a good start. We need to get another number but that can only be set up in England so will do that when we get there. For some reason the DD I had set up to pay the car tax did not work so I must get that sorted this morning. I am concerned the others wont work either so will have to keep an eye on things. It is such a weird system they have here.

Morning we had a nice afternoon in the local town which is the XL version of ours. The clinic was right on the harbour (next to all the ferries to the smaller islands so really cute) in an old quayside building which was really stunning. They were only 15 min late so with 2 hours free parking we walked through a bit of the town and had an ice cream. There is lots going on in that time (like ours) so we will definitely return they also do Island hopping which DG is desperate to do.

She finally got to see the local big castle near us and agreed it would be good to have all year ticket to there. Maybe ask for it for Christmas as it would be lovely to go there as often as we want (its 12 min by car from here). They do outdoor night time concerts and lots of other events you get into for free. They also have the huge music festival which I think we will volunteer for next year.

I did get my webpage up and running and changed the links on the front page. I know want to do even more but I need to think about my time. I need to mow the lawn today it is getting critically long and we have some hot weather coming up. I also need to do work for DG but it is so boring and I legit have to prep for the marketing next week as that is when I go and pick my dad up to take him to his nursing home. I got his book done about him today it is looking really nice I think my sister will like it.

Where has the time gone it has been so busy. We have managed to move my dads stuff and today we are collecting him. We also managed a bit of a birthday celebration for me on Saturday although most of the day was spent moving stuff for my dad but we had pizza in the evening with everyone on in the family incl my nephew and girlfriend so that was great.

DG gave me a years entry to the local castle so we went yesterday just for a quick tour around a bit of it and had an icecream. It is going to be lovely place to come it has so many gardens and the castle is a real fairy tale one.

Today I have done my marketing and I need to head off very soon to meet my sister and niece to hang my dads curtains and do a few bits before driving to his temp nursing home before taking him to do a check up on his hearting aids and then he gets to see his new flat. It is looking really nice and my sister and family spent all day yesterday hanging up pictures so it looks like his old place a bit. She wants to pick up more stuff from his house today so that will add an extra hour but it will be worth it. Nice to spend the day with them all anyway.

I got some money from my mum for my birthday so I will buy the composter in fact as soon as I have written this I will order it as it takes a few weeks to come.

We leave Tuesday for the UK so still need to pack for that but only taking one case between us inside a large case and then taking two cases back with us. I will need to pop in and see my dad tomorrow as he is 90. We will then celebrate properly when I am back as it will be too much on his first day at the new home. The home is cooking his favorite meal and making a fuss too plus my sister will visit in the afternoon on his birthday.
