Wow that weekend went so fast but it was lovely having my mum here. The storm was not nice I left my new lawn mover outside and my mum decided to move in under the carport at silly o'clock in morning. Handyman got our curtain rails up and also took down the tracks for the garage door. Sadly the top part of the garage door is not not secured so had to fix that with some wash line we had lying around. I think DG will need a builder pretty quickly.
The rails looks ace but I need some advice on colours for the back wall in the bedroom and what to do about the lounge ones that are 10cm too short. I will do a post after this about that with pictures if you are not into interior design you can scroll past. It is kind of MSE as I do not want to buy new curtains.
Sunday was also nice we got a few things done at home before heading to the club. We played 9 holes (in the same team) and then had prize giving and a lovely dinner. Cost £15 each for dinner plus we both had a beer so not too expensive really but a lovely day and we spoke to more people up there.
I have had to put a wash on during expensive electricity in order to get it out and dry as it is not raining. It is likely to rain all week so had to be done.
Finally I am now going to the funeral without my sister as she cannot get time off. The two cousins I actually know and my aunt is not going either so that is a shame. Luckily for me my mum is going so she can help with taking my dad. I will need to swap cars with my sister as my dad cannot see the car I am driving as it was his and my sister kind of "stole" it from him as he was not safe to drive any longer.
Chased Virgin for the final cheque which I have still not had and its been escalated. That sage has taken so long but I want my £700 back we moved 15/8!Save £12k in 25 No 49

Interior Design help please:
Here is the bedroom we want to paint the back wall and also on in the walkin wardrobe to add colour. The pictures are not staying they are far too small. I have got AI to mock up two options but I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas. The bed is navy blue which is not in the curtains or any of the rugs but it was either that or grey.

Raspberry pink would be nice with grey and navy? Maybe a stripe from ceiling to floor, a decent size but less than the width of the headboard?

Second Interior Design help needed, what would you do with is the lounge curtains. They are just too short. I think I will move the rug it does not really go there so would you add a green bottom or a grey one. I am not going to match the light colour as i think it would be difficult and might get dirty as I like curtains that touch the floor. They are about 15cm too short and even it I took them down they would still be 7cm too short so have to add stuff to them. Anyway scroll past if interior design is not for you.

I would try to match one of the greens i think. If I couldn't find a green, the grey would work too

Can you get the Dulux visualiser app at all? If so you could play with lots of colour choices that way. It shows you how the colour will look in the room.
For me I would add a grey band to extend your curtains.2 -
I was going to say pink for that back wall, although quite a pale pink, but maybe raspberry would be nice. I love your windows and the curtain rails look great. For the green curtains I would think a decent sized addition of plain green fabric of a similar weight/ composition to the curtains. I would opt for one of the deeper greens but not the very deepest. Ha ha what do I know?Hope the funeral goes ok and Dad doesn’t discover anything about the car.MFIT -T5 #422

Thanks Daisy, VandaFC and stoplurking really appreciate your comments and ideas there is a pale pink in the curtain and great idea about the Dulux app to visualise it. I am leaning towards a green that will tie in the curtains and the lamps. We are going out later so might pop into a shop that just sells paint rather than the B&Q type we visited for the samples.
Some big spending last night when I had a think about the sofas for the pool bar. Finding one second hand, going to try and then arrange delivery is all fine but a bit of a hassle really and we have not found anything so far. So we decided to see if the sofa we have in the lounge would fit but it actually does not. However they do a 2 and a 3 seater plus a puff in the same colour too. It was 25% off and delivery on Friday so we ordered it. I was £1600 and I think that is really good value when we know what the quality is like and totally hassle free. That shape of sofa also means we can now use our existing coffee table and side table in the pool bar without any issue and we have two puffs to use either side as they are the same so gives flexibility. The thing that was not a bargain was that we then needed a coffee table for the lounge and the expensive one we have liked from day one just slipped in the basket. It is solid wood so should last as long as the other two has which is 25 years and still going strong.
I remembered that Vinted is great for curtains so immediately set about trying to set up a Danish account. Well that did not end well as it will not verify me. I cannot change country or town on the UK one so I will need a new one. I emailed them for help all they did was send a standard email and I know have to reply and explain again why their standard answer was no good.
Irritation number two is that Virgin has sent me a standard email saying my complaint is resolved and the resolution is they will advice on closure of accounts more. Well where is my money so I had to send them another reply. How long has that taken now!!
Irritation number 3 our furniture from Jysk. We know it arrived in the store yesterday as I had an email to say it was dispatched and we know they get their delivery on a Monday. However I have not had anything to say I can collect it. I want to collect it today or tomorrow so it better come through as it is next to the fitness centre.
Irritation number 4 is that I had a newish cover for the cube of garden furniture and it ripped. I repaired it and I know it was in the pile to pack but sadly I cannot find it only one I had that was too small. So annoying as I was ready to pack it all up dry. I did get the other stuff in the shed so that was fine but not the that as it has to stay outside.
I think that is enough irritations although DG has just told me that the cardboard bin did not get emptied just now but we are going to the tip quite a bit so it is not a problem. I really must go and get some more compost as last time I went there was hardly anything left.
Flowers have been ordered and my cousins have paid their share plus I paid for my sister as she paid last time and she is paying me for my dad. There is a chance she might still be able to come otherwise she has insisted we swap cars as she will not take the chance of me taking the car over. I do not see the risk but best do as I am told and over here it is the car that is insured not the driver.
We needed more vitamins and the exact one we need just had a 15% code off so I have ordered some for DG to bring back in early November saved £3 but better than nothing.

Morning what a lazy morning for me Dg has been at work since 6am but is actually really struggling so did finish early yesterday.
Unexpectedly the IT guy turned up and started working on the internet connection in the pool bar. We still have not paid him for the original work he did. It does turn out he can source a laptop, screen and docking station for DG and he can transfer all her old computer over. He really is a find! This will save hours of frustrations for DG and he is going to set it all up at the weekend. Her PC is so slow (hard drive issue) but it has already been change once so it is not worth doing again plus it is 6 years old. She is going down the laptop road so she can take it with her to the UK or if we do travel in Winter and still do work.
As I still could not get Vinted to work I had the idea to look at Shein which you can get over here as I searched for garden cube covers. I found one on Shein it is only 123 and I really need 125 but fingers crossed I can get it to work. Well looking at my other list of stuff to buy I am sad to say it got ordered on Shein. Free delivery too which was handy. I think it comes in via Holland so they cannot do anything about banning it (Denmark has high import tax on Chinese goods).
We went out yesterday to get some shopping and look in a charity shop we have not been to before. We had a bit of an argument in the car as I just feel DG drives too close to parked cars so I flinch when she does it which freaks her out. I know it is bad of me but she is struggling with my dads car and driving on the other side after all those years. I do get it but now she is refusing to drive which I do not blame her for but its not great.
Weather is quite wet here so we really must get a clothes airer to go in the heating shed. The heat pump warms it up so it should dry nicely. There is also hooks in the carport so you can set up a wash line there if it looks like rain and we do have a proper clothes line in the garden so lots of choice. No cheap electricity but I suspect that is because it has not been windy for days and the companies rely on wind farms which makes sense. The government here is talking about reducing the tariffs we pay so that would be helpful.
I do need to get to grips with what the bills actually are and I also need to pay my mum back. Looks like the pound is climbing up again.
Of all the irritations from yesterday most got resolved. Vinted is fine now, bin did get emptied (they came back) and we can now collected the furniture for the spare room. Only thing outstanding is Virgin so that can carry on.
Right I must get back to work I have spent ages looking at Vinted for curtains as I have just got verified. Funny thing is the Scandies do not do curtains they have floaty white or grey ones with or without panels on the sides so it looks like they are full curtains. Alternatively they have the most depressing grey coloured ones which is what was in the house and I hate them. Well I will carry on looking and see if Shein's are ok and get them for there. I need 220cm width (min) and only 150cm length but can be longer. Did find a green shower curtain new for £10 incl postage so ordered that. It is too wide but long enough so worth a punt as the one I ordered yesterday is too short.

Quick update, my sister has got the day off tomorrow and we are going to my mums tonight to make sure we are ready for picking dad up under pretence he is going to the doctors. We will grab his medicine and take him home to shower and shave plus put clean clothes on god knows how he is going to look after 3 weeks at hers. We will then drop him back home and set care package up again and stress to him he needs to stay at home. We shall see she will no doubt turn up very soon and try to get him back. Bloody woman and her daughter why can't they just leave my dad alone and let him live in his own house which is what he wants.
Changed the account our Premium Bond winnings go into just to make sure it stays separate from my own account. Lunch in a bit at least I am all packed for going to my mums including some seedlings she wanted from my garden.Save £12k in 25 No 49
