And so it begins again - the young cat is back to catching frogs 😞 She’s just tried to bring one in the house. She’s a little s0d for hunting.

Morning all, happy Sunday. 

The dog got me up at 3am to go out, she had a very long patrol of the garden. Fortunately I fell straight back to sleep. 

A dead mouse was waiting for me on the outside door mat this morning 😩

I’ve been up a while so have had my golden hour of reading my book with a coffee and have ticked off my Spanish challenges for the day. 

We are going to BnM later for some compost as there’s a good offer on. Will drop off the soft plastic recycling at Mr T on the way. This will also get me a good step count for the day as it’s miles away. The dog will get a walk too. No doubt Mr SA will cadge a coffee and sausage roll from Gr£ggs. 

This afternoon I plan to plant some seeds in the heated propagator and clean the tops of the kitchen cupboards. 

Also need to do a meal plan for the week, make a batch of soup for work lunches and a butternut squash and spinach dhal for tonight’s dinner. 

There is a good half a bottle of rose cava left from last night. 

The new hula hoop is arriving later so will test that out. It’s one with a weighted ball that you hear stories of people getting trapped in. What could possibly go wrong 😆 Seriously though I’ve read some really good reports about them. Hopefully I won’t be going to work tomorrow with it still round my waist 🤣

I hate it when cats begin their hunting season.  Luckily my cat is a fairly inept hunter so we only seem to be gifted one or two victims a year.  Trouble is he often brings them in alive and then drop them out of his mouth in response to my scream.  Then it turns into a Tom and Jerry type scene except the cat gives up very quickly and saunters off back to bed.

Hope the hula hoop is good for you. I was at Loughborough University yesterday not a million miles from you I think . The weather is good for a walk today . Happy Sunday .

Approx 14 miles 🙂 We went to a craft fair there years ago.

BnM visit done this morning and the 3 for £15 compost purchased. Also bought a few other things needed. Mr SA’s scooter was piled high 😆 

The trip earned me 15,000 steps. The dog got a good walk and a 💩 and several wees. The tank surely must be empty! 

Seeds all sown now. Didn’t get around to cleaning the tops of the kitchen cupboards as ran out of time and enthusiasm. 

Made a batch of roast swede, carrot and leek soup for work lunches. Also the butternut squash, leek and spinach dhal for tonight. Made two portions so have one for another night.
