Had a long list of things I wanted to achieve today. Have I done them all - no.

On the plus side it was NSD3 of October.
    I did achieve:
Decluttered, tidied and cleaned out the larder cupboard in the kitchen.
De-flead the fur babies. The cats aren’t happy.
Finished reading my current book - Never Greener by Ruth Jones, enjoyed it. Chose my next read from the to be read mountain.
Did two loads of washing and lots of ironing.
Made Moroccan cauliflower soup for work lunches, a lentil slow cooker stew for tonight’s dinner and beef in red wine in the other slow cooker for Mr SA’s dinner. Finished off the last of the natural yoghurt making dumplings for both stews.
Made a meal plan for next week.
What I haven’t done is the cleaning apart from general wiping round and sweeping. I need to make a plan to get the bulk of the housework done in the week like I used to.
Time for a soak in the bath with a face pack before eating dinner and watching the Strictly results with leftover fizz 🥂

I think the most embarrassing ticking off I had has to be the time I was told off by an actor at the theatre. He actually came up the stairs from the stage to the dress circle to tell me to take my coat off and sit down. To be fair I was with my mum and the kids at the time and was trying to sort everyone out and the show hadn’t started as such. My kids thought it was hilarious that their mum had been told off by an actor dressed as a robot - it was Return to the Forbidden Planet. I can laugh about it now but was mortified at the time, so embarrassing 🤣🤣

That's Monday more or less done. Worked in the office until lunchtime and finishing up at home.

Finances have been checked, I can't believe it's the final week of the 4 week budget period already! That has flown by! As long as I'm careful this week there should be a surplus although not as much as last time. CC has been cleared.

The final day of banking with the H@lifax, the switch should be completed by 12 noon tomorrow.

Went to Lid! on the way home for a small top up shop.

Nipped in to the doctors as I can't get through on the phone to enquire about flu jabs and we are all booked in for this Saturday for a double whammy of flu and covid jabs. Cancelled our original covid jab appointments for the end of the month. At least we'll get them both over and done with in one go.

As if I need any more cookbooks - bought another one for £2 from the cheap shop near work that sells damaged stock - The 20 Minute Vegan by Calum Harris. Loads of nice recipes in it. Just looked it up on Amazon and it's £11 on there, was only released this May. The cover has a light tear in the spine otherwise it's in perfect condition.

Today's exercise is the walking to/from work.

Trying a new recipe for dinner tonight from a Joe Wicks book - miso cod, sweet potato and edamame traybake.

That miso cod sounds amazing SA 😋

we followed an A!di employee around yesterday as he was marking down the fish section and we got a half a side of salmon for £4.99 (normally £8+) and marinaded it in miso paste with some other bits.  I know salmon isn’t so good or the cholesterol - well at least in such huge amounts!- but it was superb.

We had it with edamame too - and some crushed
    new potatos.

The miso cod wasn’t that great. Probably because I portioned it down to one rather than the four the recipe was for and it was a bit dry.  The cod shrunk to the size of a matchbox and I probably added far too much extra veg that wasn’t actually in the recipe. At least it was light and healthy - I’ll probably wake up starving at 5am 🤣

After I logged off work today I gave the kitchen a good clean and decluttered and cleaned out another kitchen cupboard. A few bits from there have gone in the charity bag and a couple of things not good enough to donate have gone in the bin.

    Morning all, happy Tuesday.

    WFH today, happy days 😊

It's the bank switch today, a bit apprehensive as I've never switched before but I'm sure it will be fine. Should be done and dusted by 12 noon. Hopefully I can get that 8% regular saver account set up before they pull it.

It will be NSD4 of October. Still feels odd not having the Mr M delivery until Thursday but it seems to be working better at the moment.

The main cleaning task today is the bathroom, will do that when I've logged off this afternoon. I'm also on a mission to declutter two more kitchen cupboards with the aim to have finished by the end of the week.

I promised to help someone label the tombola prizes for the local Christmas market on Sunday and have just realised I always feel rough the day after the Covid jab. I hate letting people down but if I feel anything like I felt after all the other jabs I will barely be able to leave the sofa. Personally I don't understand why she just can't label a few a day, surely there aren't that many prizes! Part of me is regretting offering to help out with this market, as if I don't have enough to do 😬

Exercise will be taking the dog on the park later this morning, a lunchtime bums & tums session and resistance bands tonight. Tonight's dinner is leftover vegan lentil stew from Sunday.
