All peaceful here at the moment as Mr SA has gone for his siesta. Just finished reading my current book so need to pick another bearing in mind this next one will probably be going on the flight. I already have a holiday book in my case aptly titled The Greek Holiday 🇬🇷 There’s a book swap at the hotel so will be coming home with a couple of new ones no doubt.

The weather is a bit hit and miss so probably no gardening today, will concentrate on cleaning.

I still need to book the taxi for Wednesday at 03.15 🥱

Had a brainwave and bought two of those bottles that keep drinks cold for up to 12 hours to take away with us. It will mean the water stays cold for longer and we can top up from a big bottle. Nothing worse than warm water. They were on offer in Mr T as part of their back to school range.

I’ve had a letter from the Cov to say the regular saver matures on 19 September and will move to an easy saver. I’ll definitely open another regular saver with them afterwards. When we get back from holiday I need to get a quote for the fence in the front garden. It was damaged in storms last year, Mr SA had a go at patching it up and made a right dog’s dinner of it 😬

That’s Mr SA’s suitcase packed and he made it much more stressful than it need be. Mr “I’ve got nothing to wear” has no less than 8 brand new tops with the tags still in plus several new pairs of shorts! He’s packed 2 pairs of sandals, travelling in his canvas shoes and he now wants to take a scruffy old pair of crocs too 😬 I’m going to have to watch he doesn’t sneak them in.

Tomorrow I’ll pack the toiletries so I can pick up anything we haven’t got on Monday. Then on Monday I’ll pack my case which shouldn’t take long as the dresses I’m taking were ironed and hung up in the spare room weeks ago.

You're really organised! I bet you have to be though and you need eyes like a hawk to make sure Mr SA doesn't add anything!

Have just watched and really enjoyed the Northern Soul at the Proms concert on BBC2. I had a dabble with Northern Soul in my early teens, used to go to all dayers, my mum wouldn’t let me go to the all nighters strangely enough 😆 Remember only too well that sprinkle of talc on the floor to make it easier to slide about in your moccasins 🤣 A lot of the songs I didn’t know, must’ve been before my time, but all the singers were amazing and it was great to see the audience up and dancing having a good time. Even Mr SA enjoyed it and it kept me awake past 9pm and it’s not often that happens.
