Many happy returns @Sun_Addict, from me, Soot & Ash. Glad you are having a nice day....& the sun did come out after all! It was drizzling when I was out picking the veg first thing this morning. but it obviously thought better of it in honour of your birthday!

Happy Birthday. I hope your plans for the day all worked well. It has been very warm here so hope yours has been as good.

I’ve had a lovely day and apart from a bit of drizzle first thing the weather has been warm and sunny. I don’t think the dog was over impressed with her day out, she seemed a bit bored at one point. Unfortunately a lot of people want to stroke her because she looks cute but she doesn’t like strangers so this was a bit stressful at times. It didn’t take as long as I remembered to walk to the garden centre although it was a 10,000 steps job. It’s in the middle of lovely countryside but on a very busy main road. I saw a few things I liked but didn’t buy anything apart from coffee and scones. I could’ve easily spent a fortune as they had a lot of lovely stuff but very overpriced, I kept picking things up and thinking how much 😱 I was very close to buying an autumn gonk but decided against it.
We stopped off at a pub on the way back for lunch and can you believe they didn’t have the only thing I fancied on the menu which was a super grain salad 🙁 However they made me a beautiful bang bang cauliflower salad that more than made up for it. Mr SA tried a bit of the bang bang cauliflower and even he thought it was delicious although he was very happy with his burger and chips.I’ve had a nice birthday so far. The mystery present from Mr SA was a travel jewellery box which will come in handy. No present from DD yet but she put a note on her card that says it’s to follow. I guess I’ll have to wait until she gets paid on Friday for that 🙄 DS has bought me a bottle of wine and some travel toiletries.
As the weather has turned out so nice I’ve had a relaxing afternoon sitting in the hanging chair reading my book.
Step count 21,004 so far and still feeling ok. Maybe I can squeeze in that Zumba class at 6pm after all 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
