    Hurrah for the summer holiday.

Be careful with Merrill's and read the reviews carefully. My first pair were incredibly comfortable, but although they were supposed to be waterproof they weren't.   The second pair are, I'm so pleased with them.

They fit my feet - you really need to try on a few to see what works for you.  So many don't work for me.

    I hope you feel better.
How lovely to have a holiday to look forward to. Whereabouts in Scotland are you going? Before I moved here I had no idea how big it was. You get to the border and think ‘ooh that was quick’ and then it just goes on for ever and ever 😬
Near Edinburgh so down south.  Yes, we have family in Orkney, and the first time we went up, we were like, yahey, we're in Scotland, nearly there!  Forgetting that we probably weren't even half way (coming from Somerset) :D:D

Thanks for the tip.  That seems to be the case with so many shoes doesn't it.  The Skechers I've bought say they are waterproof but a couple of reviews say they aren't.  I went with them as hopefully they'll have the arch support.  If they aren't suitable I will send them back though.  We have limited places you can buy decent trainers here, so it's hard to try anything on in person.

I've walked to school every day this week, so that's a result.  It does mean I've done over 30 mins a day brisk walking each day according to my active 10 app, so that's good, I'm not too slow   Just need to keep it up.   My knee is aching but it's not as bad as it was originally when I first started walking so hopefully it will soon ease off again.

A holiday in Scotland sounds nice but a long trek! Beautiful though.

Yes, I love Scotland!  It's been a few years since we've been there, so it will be nice to be back.

They arrived yesterday, I haven't worn them out, but they are so comfortable so I'm pleased with them.  Just hoping now that they are waterproof!  I'm sure they'll get thoroughly tested over the next few days.
