AOS done - i have 2 weeks for defence but confused about steps - pls advise

I am new to forum so sorry if its silly question (i did read sticky posts but i am overloaded with the amount of info).
I was given a ticket by VCS when parked properly in a bay which my company is paying for. My permit expired and valid one was behind the expired one.
My colleague so via window traffic wardens checking cars which prompted me to check my permit which i did walking past traffic wardens and swapped the permits to display current one on top - at that time there was no ticked sealed to my window which i did mention to my collegue. To my surprise several days later i got a ticket with pictures of paper attached to window which i did not see at the time. It looks like traffic wardens put some paper quickly on my windshield took a picture and then removed.
Please help me what to do next:
1 shall i ask for SOR as next step - does it mean that VCS has to send all pictures taken ? who do they send it to?
2 shall i ask my employer to confirm on paper that i am working for them and they pay for the parking space at the car park?
3 my collegue is willing to confirm on paper his statement that he saw traffic wardens then i walked out to swap permits and came back saying i had no ticket at the time?

Any other steps?
Could you please help as i am bit stressed, new to forum and overloaded with information.

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?

Upon what date did you file an Acknowledgment of Service?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.

With a Claim Issue Date of 21st December, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 23rd January 2023 to file your Defence.

That's three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

You mean a SAR, Yes do it now, you require ALL photos and letters etc. They must send everything they have on you and send it to you.You will need the photo showing your permit on display (I bet you will not be able to see the date though)

It would be better if he said you when you went to check your permit you came back and said all good no ticket (Don't mention a swap)

Find the Defence Template (March 2022) in the sticky announcements. You only need to amend 2 and write some short bullet like defence points at 3, change nothing else.

Up load your 2 and 3 here for comment - please do no upload the rest of the defence we know what that says.

Thanks for all replies which clarified a lot but i might be missing something fundamental:

1. if money claim online is to be treated as read only after AOS then what court will be receiving my defence ? (i will read again sticky posts to refresh the details) 
2. is it likely i might be heard in person?
3. if i loose defence can my cost be increased ? at the moment VCS wants 170 (amount claimed) + 35 (court fee) + 50 (legal cost) = 255 pounds
4. when i ask for SAR can i be ignored ? - how to prevent that? I did download pictures from VCS website but can they be used as evidence or i have to used official pictures from SAR?

1. You will send your defence via email to the CCBC.
2. It will either be in person, via telephone or via video Such as BTmeetMe. Each local court are doing it differently as we come out of Covid lockdown. Either way it is nothing to worry about.
3. If you go through the whole process and are unfortunate to lose the max cost is likely to be £200 including the court fees. Most judges recognise the scam of PPCs inflating the cost by adding unjustified ‘extras’ and dismiss them as well as high interest rates. If you win you can claim up to £95 plus travel costs.
4. For the SAR they should respond within a month. If they don’t you should prompt them, give them a deadline (7days) otherwise you will report them to the ICO. Any evidence including that from a SAR will be attached to your witness statement which comes later. Don’t wait for the SAR to be returned before submitting your defence

@Coupon-mad sorry if i am repeating - i did read most of newbies post but unfortunately i was still partially lost not sure if due to bit of stress, amount of info or the fact that english is not my native language. The next post i am planning to put a draft of defence (paragraphs 2 and 3) for some feedback . I understand that i should avoid cluttering the forum. I will share my knowledge around with other people so your time educating me will pay back to bigger forum
