We valued our house recently and it’s increased hugely which is great to know. Not planning to release any equity but a house move is on the cards at some point in the next 5 years. Going to crack on now with finishing up the living areas and garden.

Popping in again. I’ve thrown all our targets out the window this year. We’ve hit most of them anyway I’m just very bored of tracking.
I’m focusing on one thing at a time and any surplus goes towards our mortgage neutral pot which I can’t use until we remortgage later this year as I’ve used up our OP allowance this year. Still very determined to clear the mortgage as soon as we can though.

I can understand that, when you're "steady as she goes" tracking becomes superfluous in some ways. Enjoy the weekend too2023: the year I get to buy a car3

It’s been a while since I’ve been in here. Still plodding on with saving saving saving. We can look at remortgage deals next month. But it’s all a dilemma really. I’ve got until the end of the year to remortgage. Do I go early doors or sit it out. If the payment goes up I’ll absolutely sit on the cheaper payments until then and save as much as possibly the reduce the amount we need to mortgage. Hoping that’ll be under £30k.Expensive month with car insurances being due and DH helpfully getting a speeding fine. Hoping he will get away with the speed awareness course but it’s still £100 fine. So not much will be saved this month!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Good going your close to 5 years left on clearing your mortgage. Do you have a target date to bring it home earlier than the remaining term?3

Bit of a cryptic update from me.Changes are afoot in DFoD land so no new target date has been set. I’m just trekking on with saving as much as possible to whack off the mortgage at re mortgage time to limit the interest rate rise hit.Hoping to have more plans set in stone really soon.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
