Well we can remortgage now as we are within 6 months of our mortgage rate end date. Quick look and we are facing £50ish a month rise which obviously we can meet but it’s annoying all the time. I’m holding off until the last minute I think unless they continue to rise. I’ll keep an eye on the situation.Situation in DFoD land still up in the air and I’m hopeful they will sort themselves out soon. Still plodding on saving as much as possible to pay off the mortgageDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Spent the day cleaning the house from top to bottom though it’s not all done. Sunshine today which wasn’t hugely expected so a nice bonus.Snagged £12 in surveys last night on prolific which was good. Just need them to clear now. Also need to transfer some pennies over to premium bonds before the month end. Haven’t won on there for what seems like ages.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Argh. The waiting for life to resolve itself is driving me mad as it affects life plans etc but it should be all sorted in a month. 🤞
Still plodding on with saving towards mortgage payoff, currently have about £10K to pay off the balance when we remortgage. Not sure how much of that we will payoff, but at least 50-75% if we get to that point. At least the weathers improved a little of late and it feels like summer again.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

That's a spectacular amount left to pay on your mortgage! Surely you could put £10k onto a 0% credit card?
I hope the life plans only take a month longer, as you say! Very good news2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -

Well. Huge news over here that I can finally share. We are on the move and this house move will clear the mortgage so in the next few weeks we will be MORTGAGE FREE! And totally debt free.I haven’t even begun to think about what life looks like on the other side of that as this debt free journey has been a huge focus of our lives for such a long time but we are so so close now. All feels very surreal and I won’t truly believe it until it’s done but it’s happening. I really will be mortgage free by 2023!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
