It is useful to know the back roads. My DD used to commute from Rochester to Sandwich every day. It took her about 55 minutes .

Thank you for your kind wishes, I am sitting here just thinking, fingers crossed 48 hours and I'll be asleep and hopefully waking up minus this blessed Dora -the -drain

The potatoes were delicious by the way. Off to youngest DDs shortly, where we will play scrabble, have a cuppa or two and I'll be served up a nice roast dinner cooked by my lovely son-in-law Simon including some of the spuds dug up by the boys the other day

Thank you chums getting excited now can't wait for tomorrow .

Weather is very wet and windy but I'm not fussed. DGS Ben is coming round for a coffee and bacon roll as its his favourite .
He will also bring downstairs my upstairs Hoover that blew up yesterday with a bang .Admittedly it was old and well past its best, and certainly not worth being repaired and my DD will pick it up later for disposal for me .It was pretty heavy to lug around at the best of times so it off to Hoover heaven  
my bag is packed and ready so it will be a pottering day today
