Our son (RM postman) does that. Usually where the delivery driver has left it on a wall, by a bin, or just chucked (think US newspapers) - someone recently commented on their village Faceache group that their doorbell camera had filmed him and how brilliant it was, without realising he was in the group, and several others chipped in, in the same vein, before he posted a blushing emoji (after which it went radio silence)

Hello Melty Blobs (or is that just me?!)
Oh my goodness, it's humid & I've just heard on the R4 News that some of us may be seeing temperatures up to 35° on Monday. Urrrgh, how perfectly horrid! Hope it's not the East Mids.
Useful day, though not a No-Spend as Mr F apparently needs extra shed-clearing beer so is calling in to buy some on his way home. I've been keeping the faith with my old ways:
*Cut back a chunky comfrey plant. Half has gone on the compost, the other for chop & drop on the squash bed.
*Garden pickings: Another cucumber plus basil & rhubarb.
*Made a sourdough. Would normally have baked it 1st thing tomorrow morning, but it was still rising even in the fridge so I thought I'd better intervene.
*Did some minor budget updates & related admin. Pinged Mr F to say we have £22-11 left in June's grocery budget as I knew he was calling into the shop tonight.
*Entered a competition & a prize draw.
*Picked a bunch of sweetpeas.
*Sowed more cavolo nero.
*Made 3 pots of pesto - 1 for tonight's nosebag & 2 for the freezer.
*Baked a rhubarb cake..…think the recipe came from a frugal cookbook from the library about 15 yrs ago. It's one of those generic recipes where you use pretty much 500g of whatever fruit you've got. I just need to turn it out of the tin & sift a bit of icing sugar on.
And another couple of mags decluttered to my friend's bag.
Mr F is still absolutely champing at the bit to get the shed cleared out tomorrow & says he intends to be at the tip for when it opens on Sunday before coming home to make bacon rolls! Well, it's a plan. I just hope he will be as ruthless as he says he's going to be.
See you on the other side of Armasheddon,
F x
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!10 -
I’m conjuring up an image of Mr F shed clearing with a pint in his hand 🤣🍻
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Lol, @Sun_Addict - He won't do that cos it might get bits in it!

Seriously envious of the shed decluttering. It's going to get worse before it gets better here!

We are up, we are dressed, my hair is tied back, Mr F just making toast & coffee then we are hitting the shed big time. It's quite a big one & it is full of stuff, including things we brought back with us while clearing my old family home prior to selling it a few years ago. Mr F has used the word 'ruthless' again this morning & has already double-checked opening times for the tip.
Signing off......I could be some time!

There’s been no update … Either the shed has captured them both or they are exhausted!
Soot, please send word please?
